Anyone good with bugs?!

Okay so I bought some spinach yesterday and apperently I got more then just veggies because when I got to the BOTTOM of the bag today (thankfully I've only eaten like a handful of it) there is this really freaky and nasty smelling bug in there... STILL ALIVE! I need someone to help me identify it. I have a hard time believing its from anywhere around where I live, and I know it didn't crawl to the bottom of a sealed bag.

Its beige-tan colored has orange brown legs, 8 of them. It looks like it has a really hard "shell", but I'm not touching it. And its really funky shaped, almost like a triangle but not.

I threw the thing into a container and its sitting on my kitchen counter now. I really can't take a photo of it unless I let it out.. I was going to do that then it must have let off some sort of stink because I threw up in my sink shortly after. I got really nauseated and light headed after that.

I have like this fear of bugs, espcially one I've never seen. I did lots of googling and have no flippin clue what this thing is. I know one thing, I'm done with spinach for awhile, just EW!!!  >:( >:( >:(

Hey, where was the spinach package from? Cuz I know they have this weird bug in Costa Rica where some acquaintances of mine used to work, that if you upset it, would REEK. Also if you gished it. The husband found this out by gishing one during a church service...they had to evacuate the building...

I know that the US imports a lot of veggies etc from places, just like they do  here. I take umbrage that an orange producing country like Spain (where "Valencias" come from) still imports oranges from S. Africa...as if there were any need for that...

Whatt?? i LOVE squash bugs and leaf footed bugss <3 <3 so cute.

Why leaf "footed"? Leaf "bodied" yes...I have actually seen one of these here. I like a lot of critters but here on TV docs they tend to want to focus on the face...which is scary sometimes.

I love bugs, just not spiders. I can't handle spiders. At all.

THIS. :o :o

Please put the poor bug outside and let him get on with his badly interrupted life!

you really should read more then just the first few posts before commenting. secondly, why does everyone have to go all PETA on me?! Firstly, I didn't kill the bug, i let it out so it can freeze to death in the snow, secondly its just a bug! Even if I did kill the stupid thing, the world would not end, its not like killing a family pet or something.

fufu - I love it, too.  It's not mine.  I generically pulled it off of the web, but it's adorable.  :)>>>

(The other pic is mine.)

Do you just get one bite a night or do you get a bunch?  If you get a bunch, is there any chance that they are mite bites?

I usually just get one or two... but it happens frequently. They don't bite my hubby though. must be cuz I'm so sweet ~^_^~

lol.  We're vegans.  Although I think PETA goes all vegan, since they're vegetarians.

INTERVENTION!!!

But jumping spiders are so cute.  Look at this adorable little face-y.

Yes, 'm.

PICTURES OF CUTIES WARNING.

At least know that they're really small and couldn't hurt you even if they wanted to.  But they don't want to.  They're wonderful and inquisitive.

Are you all afraid of like stinging bugs? You're afraid of being hurt? Or ...do you know?

P is afraid of flying bugs, because he's been stung many times.

Right?!  The picture reminds me of something out of Fantasia or a Wagner opera.

Haha. I just showed my mom the spider pictures (shes horribly afraid of them), she made a gross face and then came closer and said they couldn't be spiders because they were cute. Then she asked what kind, i said jumping spiders she almost screamed and yelled GROSS and ran out of the room.

I almost won her over. Almost.

And yeah HH! I feel like its going to break out into dance or crazy karate like moves
