There might already be a post on this but oh well.
What are your top 3 favorite bands and/or songs?
I have so many and I love all types of music, but I'm going to have to say that my top three favorite bands are Le Tigre, The Dresden Dolls, and Metric.
As far as songs go, I love pretty much anything from them, but I like Slideshow At Free University by Le Tigre, Sex Changes by The Dresden Dolls, and Empty by Metric.
For other random favorite songs with different bands I'm going to have to say Waterfalls by TLC, Psycho by Puddle Of Mudd, and Second Chance by Shinedown.
;)
I've just been listening to country lately.
top 3 country:
Ashton Shepherd
Eric Church
James Otto
top 3 classic:
Janis Joplin
Johnny Cash
Bob Dylan
songs? right now?
Billy Currington - People are crazy
Lady Antebellum - Run To You
Chris Young - Getting you home
omg <3
Okay, just listened to what The Metric had on their web site--I enjoyed them a lot. I heard "Stadium Love," "Sick Mind," and "Twilight Galaxy" so far.
I loved "Twilight Galaxy" a lot--they reminded me of Possum Dixon but with a female vocal--good stuff!
My top 3 favorite bands are Camper Van Beethoven, Split Enz, and ... Duran Duran. And yeah, I know I like old stuff, but I'm old, so you know. =)
Top 3 favorite songs:
"Skinny Hotrod" by The Sugarplastic

If you watch "My Mistake," I sincerely apologize for any nightmares you may have afterwards. =(
Oh, I also love "Ignorance is Bliss" by Jellyfish. Anyone else like this song?

Split Enz? Really? Aweeesome : )
Now, trick questions: where are Split Enz from?
NEW ZEALAND!!
Te Awamutu!
NEW ZEALAND!!
Te Awamutu!
oh my goodness, you might be my new favourite person ; )
Okay so the Split Enz video made me laugh hysterically. (Sorry, I totally couldn't help it). Crazy, but I've never heard of any of those bands except for Duran Duran! Anyways, I'm glad you liked Metric and you didn't think it was awful or anything ;)b.
So does anyone remember Brand New Key by Melanie? I can't get that song out of my head. I'm walking around the house singing "i've got a brand new pair of rollerskates you've got a brand new key".
Haha!
Okay, bands.
1. blink 182. They are the best thing ever <3 <3 <3 <3 I'm going to see them in September, i'm soo excited. Their Dvds, books, and music make me happy and cry because i love them so much. haha.
2. Later Days. They're a kind of local Florida band, they live in Cali (state, not vwer) now and are getting big, i love them. I want them to come back and dedicate songs to me (i saw them twice and the first time i got a song cause i had cool tattoos and the 2nd because i forced it on them when they were on stage).
And that is all. I cant decide a third. And songs. eek, i'm gonna think about that. Eventully i'll have band number 3 and some songs. heh.
It's been years since I've heard Blink 182 but I used to listen to them a lot growing up.
Heh, i'm guessing the 4 years of the hiatus must have something to do with that. During the hiatus i had a whole wall of my room called the conspiracy wall and wrote everything that pointed towards their reunion. (i was only one month and 7 days off!)
wow!
I enjoy the ska

and Nikrrr....you are my new favourite person too! Thank you for putting Split Enz back in my head, and thank you for knowing where they are from!!!!!!
Me:
1) of all time, Pink Floyd. I should really split this into two, the Syd albums and the post-Syd albums but I'm going to cheat and just say Pink Floyd altogether in general because I love them all.
2) and 3) kind of rotate really. It's actually really hard to pick. Elbow, The Beatles, The Dresden Dolls, Elliott Smith, Motley Crue...I dunno...
*tantrums coz she can't pick*
To only pick 3 is pretty hard....my faves change all the time, depending on my moods, but here's what I'd say right now.
