Reasons to frown

Ok, so we have a smiling thread. This thread is for all of the little dumb things that make you frown, or angry, or sad, etc., etc.
I'll start. I had chili for lunch today. I brought some crackers for the chili and a banana for breakfast. THE CRACKERS ABSORBED THE BANANA FLAVOR THROUGH THE BAG, SO I HAD BANANA FLAVORED CHILI FOR LUNCH! >:(
Gary puked in her bed whilst I was at work today. It must have been early on because now it's dried in puke. Her bed is not really washable, and the puke won't sponge off.
I don't know what to do, she loves her bed so so so much. The shop I bought it from no longer sells them and I can't find any similar ones elsewhere - I've looked before as I've considered getting a second one - one for the bedroom and one for the lounge.
There was no lumps in the puke, so I've not thrown the bed away yet - maybe she'll use the bed again when the puke smell wears off? But i don't want her sitting in a pukey bed, but she loves bed so much.....I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

:( poor Gary
can you get a cleaning product specific to cats, like this?
http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Miracle-Just-Stain-Remover/dp/B0002ASLNQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1319006952&sr=8-3
hmmm, not sure. Even if we could I'm not sure it'd work.....it sounds gross but her bed has so much of her hair all over it - I have tried cleaning it before but then she doesn't like it for ages because it smells to clean or something (same when ever we wash our bed clothes - she'll avoid the bed for a night until it smells of us).
So her bed is placed in the usual place for now on the sofa, and she keeps jumping in it, sniffing and jumping out again - she's done that three times in the past hour. : (
We're going to the vets tomorrow so I'll mention the puke to see if there's any problems, and I'll also see if they sell any nice beds.
We move in a week and a half so Gary really needs a bed to make her feel less freaked out.
Poor Gary. You're a good friend to her.
Awwww....Poor thing! Try spraying the stain really well and let it sit to soften it, then try scrubbing it out. Maybe that will help :/
Baking soda and/or vinegar? Baking soda neutralises most odours.
(Note to self: No, abbreviating "baking soda" as BS is not a good option.)
I lost my temper for the first time since about May. I was so angry I was cold and shaking. Now I'm having trouble getting rid of the adrenalin surge.
You wanna know what about, read Open Letters.
Barstid.
Under the weather with a major cold and other "yuckies" along with DH, DD19, and DS17. The only one feeling good is my grandson, 11 months and he is having a ball getting into everything none of us are up to stopping him from getting.
eh, by the time I'd got home from work yesterday the puke had dried into the bed.
We took Gary to the vets today and they had nice looking beds for a not bad price so we bought one.....she is still sulking from the trip to the vets, so we'll see if she likes it eventually (we've hidden her old bed, but I don't want to throw it away yet, but i don't want her sleeping in a pukey bed)
Killer headache, caused by living in the world, which is unfortunately inhabited.
Bitchbitchbitch.
N knows I've had a super stressful week at work plus I've been on call, so he decided to treat me and get a bottle of wine so I could have a glass of wine tonight to relax and celebrate not being on call anymore.....EXCEPT I'M STILL ON CALL UNTIL TOMORROW NIGHT.
I WANT WINE.
Oh noes, poor shell... that's not fair. :(
Aw, Shell. :( It was a nice thought....

high chance of this so I wouldn't take the risk.
On call is annoying coz I may not get any calls, but have to be prepared to get calls - usually it's only complex calls about meds that doctors cannot figure out for themselves so yeah, it's usually pretty serious.
BUT IT IS NOW FRIDAY AND NEW HOUSE DAY SO IMMA GONNA DRINK CHAMPAGNE AND WINE AND POSSIBLY BEER or vodka
hmmmm shell i guess your medical stuff is diff than here maybe?! ya i wouldn't ignore "the call" if someone could die!!! i just figure like hospitals here there is always people there 24/7 working, i thought "on call" was like "hey we need extra help cause it's busy"... hope you can get sloshed soon
No, "on call" means "if there's any work needs doing you're it." Because nights, weekends etc. they cut staff. So if something needs to be done, they gonna call on you. That's why nurses etc on night shift never use "the Q word" (as in "it's quiet tonight") because things will immediately go berserk.
<----- Feels like poo today. :(
