Let's talk some more about tattoos, shall we?

I know we have threads, and I know we talk about them in different places, but......here we are.
Now that I just have touch ups left on my chest, I'm trying to decide what to get to cover up my little blip of a tat. on my hip. I think I want to get something that ties in with my chest piece.
eta: I deleted that creepy picture. It was just too creepy!
I talked with my guy about vegan tattoo ink for a long time. He said that now a majority of the commonly used inks (well I guess among people he knows at least) are vegan.
I didn't even think to ask him until tattoo number 3 or something, but he uses the same ink as his vegan friend. (everyone has real life vegan friends but me! agh)
And, I did think of my wrist. But my wrists are pretty much the size of a babys. Hah.
Sarah, dont you have another written phrase of his on the outside of an ankle or calf? Why not put this one on the inside of the same leg? So they are close to eachother and relate to eachother without being too much in one spot (ala atop eachother).
Yeah. I have one on my inner ankle. This one is just too big length wise to put on an ankle.
I think I'm gonna get a dove on my other foot. I saw the design when I was there last weekend. It's a cool outline of a dove, sort of modern looking.

HAHA I totally misread and thought you said your wrists were the size of babies. Like...entire infants. I was like SARAH HAS ELEPHANT WRISTS!
Lolll. I added 'a' right before I posted it so no one would think that.
Add an apostrophe and avoid all confusion. :P
I've just realised that the prepaid card my father gave me in case of emergency stuck-in-airport-for-three-days-with-no-money situations can be used in the UK. And is enough that I could probably be sitting on the plane with sore, scabby ink. And the pyroclastic flow came early, so I'll be done by the time I get the chance... Oooh, I so want to...
Lubi, did you post pictures of your last tattoo--the "girls day out" one? What did you end of getting? Sorry if you posted it and I missed it.
no, not yet, SB has my camera, but we are having dinner tonight, so I will get it and take a pic. It's on my foot, and says Living is easy with eyes closed
Oh! Sounds really neat. I can't wait to see the pics. Take some extra of the 2 of you for the images thread!
tattoo placement - yea or nea?

I like tattoos there HH but don't get them because of work.
that is one of my favorite spots.
now that I think of it, I have tattoos on both wrist, so I don't think that would be any worse for work, lol.
My problem is that I'm a regulator. I don't know of anyone in my field who has visible tattoos (several have ones not seen in work clothes).
How about if I put a tattoo on the inner part of my hand in that fleshy part between the thumb and forefinger?
Or I should just settle for my feet. I always wear close-toed shoes for work. I really like shell's foot ink.
eta: P.S. That picture is of Manuel (Christian Sancho) and Lalo (Ezequiel Castaño) in the soap storyline I'm currently obsessing over - Botineras. It's an Argentinian telenovela. Christian Sancho is one of the most beautiful men on the planet and he's in a role where I get to watch him kiss another man. Soap life doesn't get better.
I love foot tattoos. I just got one and am going back soon for another.
I've been giving the foot thing more thought. I'm thinking about a vine, like shell's, but with the vine being Neil Young lyrics: "be the river as it rolls along". I'm not sure how the vine would be decorated, though. I'd have to think of a water motif to take the place of flowers. My other concern is that designs on the foot "melt together" more than designs elsewhere, so getting words may not be the best idea.
Did you post a pic of the tattoo. I can't wait to see it.
who knows when i get around to posting a pic, but I have one on my phone if anyone wants me to text them! Not that you care that much about my foot, but I love texting! lol
hmpf. My phone is too old.
I love hand and foot tattoos, but my hands/feet just aren't pretty enough. I have hands that get gross and scaly in the winter, so I couldn't ever put a tattoo on them. My hands are kind of wrinkly now, so I'd hate to see what they look like down the line!
As for on your palm (how I read where you're thinking of placing it)--a lot of tattoo shops won't guarantee a tattoo below the ankle or wrist, because it's hard for the ink to set on the palms/bottom of feet (and the whole wrinkly issue for the tops).
