Aloe and green tea moisturizer
a nice, light, easily absorbed moisturizer. I have bad combination skin (dry and acne prone), and this is moisturizing without being greasy. It is fine under makeup, and doesn't make makeup look shinier like some moisturizers. However, I hate the packaging -- a pump would be much more sanitary. I use it at night only, because it doesn't have sun protection. It's gentle enough to use under the eyes. (rkathleen)

Hold style cream
I think it was $8.99 for 4 ounces. It was definitely under $10 at my hfs. Alba Style Cream keeps my hair up and out. It creates a bit of a "crust," but if I scrunch my hair a little after it's dry my hair becomes closer to being normally soft - moreso than with any of the waxes I've used. The hold isn't as secure as the Nanowax so I'm not sure if it'd do a fauxhawk, but for short hair it works well enough to be a less expensive alternative to Nanowax. (hh)
Sport sunblock SPF 45 Very Emollient
I like this so far. I'm not positive how affective it is, but it's not greasy, or stinky. It's nice and light. I'm ok with how it works, but it doesn't seem SUPER protective. (AC)

Baking soda
(armpits) I've used it for almost two years now...works great. I just pat some (dry) on. I found when I started mixing with water, I would mix too much water in, and it wouldn't be as effective. (AC)
Miracle in the kitchen and bathroom. I've been a stinky person most of my life, sweating a lot during sports, and I've tried all the "clinical" and super strength deodorants, switched them every couple of weeks, everything! And I could never get any help. Then I decided to try the baking soda as deodorant, and I swear it changed my life! I run and sweat a lot, and this has never let me down. I don't sweat as much anymore, I don't smell after runs anymore, and now I don't wash my running clothes as often, because they don't smell! I can't talk about this enough, and I've told anyone that will listen this is the way to do deodorant. I do mix it with some cornstarch, because the baking soda can be a bit abrasive when you're applying it to your pits. I mix them together in a little jar and sprinkle out a little after a shower, add a drop of water, make a paste, and you're good to go. (veganrun)
(face) THIS IS THE BEST FACE 'WASH.' I haven't had a real break out in months, and this is the first thing that has worked this well in...like the 11 years that I've had acne. I seriously only get tiny bumps that usually go away as soon as I wash my face again. I had one small break out right before my period, but that's to be expected. I love this. I just splash my face with water, dab some baking soda (usually mixed with cornstarch, because it's the same I use for armpits) on fingers, rub over face, and rinse. At least try it. (AC)
(hair) it's all ive been using for the past couple months (aside from conditioner once in awhile) and i love it. and by 'past couple months' i mean i use it 1 to 2 times a week - usually 1.. it's awesome & theres no waste. i just mix a couple tablespoons of it with a splash of water to make a paste and that's it.. my hairs super clean. (ppc)
I've been doing this also, but with a vinegar rinse, and I love it. I use it 2-3 times per week, and agree with ppc. (AC)
I recently (after a few months) had to stop using baking soda for hair, because I just couldn't get a good ratio. My hair was either feeling weird/dryish, or greasy and matted. (AC)

I use it every day, and like it. I regularly use the "light." I'm naturally fair skinned, and I have imperfections, and the light works well. I think the key is to "buff" it in, instead of just brushing it on. If you have lighter skin, I think the light would work. The fairly light didn't seem to give me enough coverage. I also have some golden medium that doesn't look bad, but I'm saving it for when I get a bit tanned. I buy all of mine on eBay..a lot less expensive. The 9g is the big one, the 2 g is small. I also have one of the blushes, and I really like it. (AC)
One of the girls asked about the difference between bare mineral and bare essentuals ... while they are the same company ... their products that are marked "bare minerals" and pure minerals .... the one's marked "bare escentuals" are not exactly 100% natural ... they also have another breakoff line "buxom" they're not all natural either .... and lastly ... they have come out with a new line of lipsticks that are 100% naturals however they might have beeswax ... i don't know for sure .... so i can't say if they are ALL vegan. I don't use this often, but I think when I do..my hair is extra soft? I only use it if I have a few tangles. I don't think it leaves my hair too greasy. I guess I don't notice much about my hair..it does help with tangles, though. (AC)

is wonderful for me. It is gentle enough for my very sensitive skin, doesn't lead to breakouts, and isn't drying either. It also removes makeup easily and the price is reasonable. Base
Good, I have it in the matte, semi-matte and intensive. They do get darker looking the more coverage they have so you have to keep that in mind when buying. They have so many different colors that most people shouldn't have that hard of a time finding a good color. I have olive skin and have a really difficult time with foundations,,, while I haven't found the right color I have definitely gotten the closest with EM. It doesn't irritate or break me out like Bare Escentuals too! (sharpenup)

Loose eye colors
These are THE BEST. I scored a good deal on some of these 2 or 3 years ago (I got 7 eye shadows for like 15 dollars) and I still have tons of eyeshadow left. They last a long time. And I used to pile them on every day. I use the really bright colors and they show up very very VERY true to their color. (sarah)
Lemon shimmer
BRIGHT yellow. This is my favorite one. This is the only one that I'm almost out of (sarah)
Orange shimmer
Fantastic. I love this. It's a very bright orange. (sarah)
Pot o gold shimmer
I like to put this on top of the bright colors to tone them down a bit sometimes and make them shimmer a bit more. This doesn't have a super heavy coverage like the bright colors. I like to use it on my cheeks more than anything. Or below my brow when I do fun eyeshadow. (sarah)
Purple shimmer
Meh. This is purple. I've never been happy with any purple eyeshadow that I've had. I generally don't use it in how i mix mine anyways. It just makes me look like I have a black eye. This would probably be awesome for some one with really dark skin though. (sarah)
Rainbow blue shimmer
Another one of my favorites. Another one I'm running out of. It's such a bright blue. Picture MiMi from The Drew Carey Show. Awesome. You don't need much of it for it to show up exactly as it looks in the jar. (sarah)
Rainbow green shimmer
I like this shade of green. I kind of wish it was more neon though. But it's a very neat green. (sarah)
Raspberry shimmer
Very close to the strawberry. I usually wind up mixing these up. This has more pink in it. I only really use this one on my cheeks with gold over top of it for a bronze/blush effect (sarah)
Strawberry shimmer
This one is a red with a little bit of pink in it. It's awesome. I don't use it that often but it looks redder on my skin than it does in the container (sarah)

Liquid
(natural beige) I really like it, and I've never used full-on foundation before. Has lots of moisturizers and sunscreens built in to it. (caroleena)
Powder
(light beige)--I use this dry as a regular powder (alone or over the liquid), or you can wet the sponge and use it as a more liquid-y foundation. I like it well enough--much of the time I just wear this without the liquid. I wish they would just put out a regular pressed powder, as powder + liquid feels like a lot as you're putting it on. And I don't see the point of moistening it to get it more liquid-y when I like the actual liquid foundation so much. Also, this is the first compact that I've ever broken... but that could just be me. (caroleena)

Clear Frizz be gone
I have frizzy, poofy, dry hair. Generally choosing hair products for me is about minimizing how much they mess up my hair, rather than actually trying to improve it. This one was no different for me… it didn’t reduce any frizziness, and like everything else, my hair was frizzier afterwards Oh well. I wouldn’t get it again, only because I find the best (least damaging) conditioner is at TJs and way cheaper than this. (fb)

My favorite vegan shampoo/conditioner.It leaves your scalp feeling tingly and refreshed.I have very fine, oily, very long hair. This removes the excess oils at my scalp, doesn't dry out the ends, and leaves my hair soft and easy to detangle without weighing it down. The only complaint I have is the smell. It doesn't smell bad and isn't strong, but it does leave a minty scent in my hair. At least I'm not allergic to it. (lbarte)

Such a wide array of eyeshadow colours! Another company that uses Red#40 instead of Red #4! Everything they make is vegan except for the Amplified Eyeshadow Base (which contains beeswax) Their Norse and Greek mythology eyeshadow collections are gorgeous. Some of the colours available for lip products may seem out there and alternative, but I like that they accommodate such a wide variety of shades for everyone! (elliejelly)

like!! Funny thing tho-- at least funny to me, maybe i'm missing something?!-- the label says 'gluten free and vegan!' Um, yeah, so: if you have celiac disease, it's still ok to eat this lotion. I'm not as good at label-reading for cosmetic/ grooming products as for food; is this as bizarre as it seems to me? DO some lotions use gluten, and would it matter at all if they did?! Inquiring minds wanna know! ('Never stop learning.' -- AETN) Good lotion tho! (hotcooknmama)

It works fine, kind of syrupy in terms of texture. I thought it worked as well as any other liquid body wash. It's not the cheapest, though, so I tend not to get it. (fb)
Satin shower aloe vera
This is ok. It was a pretty good price on drugstore.com for such a huge bottle (and it has a pump lid, which is nice), but it doesn't really lather all that well. I just want to use a little bit, but it doesn't lather enough to do that. The smell is not that great, kind of neutral. I guess it's aloe? I don't know that I'd get it again, but I'd get a different scent if I did. (AC)

Toothpaste
CoQ10 oral comfort
It works. It's supposed to be one of those de-sensitizing toothpastes, and sure enough it pretty much works to that end for a few hours after use. It's a nice, milder mint rather than the power smile, and I think just as effective. But, I tend to get other stuff just because of price. (fb)
Powersmile
I've been using it, and it makes my mouth feel REALLY clean.. (tweedle)
Really strong flavor, but good for that "clean" feeling. J dislikes most cruelty-free/natural type toothpaste brands because the mint is usually so mellow, and this is the only one he likes. It's kind of too strong for me, it's like brushing your teeth with mouthwash. But some people are into that. (fb)
Sea fresh toothpaste
Maybe I'm just extremely happy to be using a minty toothpaste again (we've had to use up two tubes of Tom's apricot toothpaste...), but I like this stuff. It's really strong, but I like that too. I feel fresh, and clean! (AC)
Johnathon Product (Sephora)
It looks Sephora has recently cut down the stock they carry, but the website says you can find the products at Ulta and Bath & Body Works. They are pricier than mainstream brands, but about the same as salon products. They have shampoo, dry shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. (xneverenoughx)

Kiss My Face Pure Olive Oil Soap
I liked this while I was using it, but after I found it made me break out (and I used it in the shower, not on my face!). I don’t think my face can handle that much oil near it, haha. I’d like to try the other types; it’s too bad. (fb)

Bath bombs
I have used some of the bath bombs, I can not remember which ones specifically, but I liked them. (awnree)
Not sure which ones I have since they were a wonderful gift from LLG, but they are neat, and very strongly scented. I don't usually take baths, but these make it pretty fun. They are huge! (AC)
Big blue
This one is really big and it changes the color of your water only slightly and leaves seaweed in your tub. It wasn't super moisturizing, I used it mainly to remind me of the ocean. It was alright but be prepared to clean up the seaweed unless you put the ball in a stocking first. (Minke)
Butterball
This one doesn't do anything fancy like change the color of the water of deposit glitter but it is my favorite one! It smells like vanilla and is very moisturizing, perfect for winter skin. I recommend this to everyone, especially if you've never use a bath bomb before. (Minke)
Space girl
I LOVE this one! It changes the water to this pretty light purple color and leaves a thin layer of glitter on the water. It smells amazing like nice fresh berries. I'd buy this one again and again. It's also cheaper than a lot of the other bath bombs. (Minke)
World peace
This was alright, it changed the color of the water slightly and smelled pretty good. Nothing special and I probably wouldn't buy it again. (Minke)
Bath melt
Happy blooming
It makes your water kind of milky looking and deposits a nice amount of oils. It smells really good but if you don't like artificial scents than you probably wouldn't like this. It can be used as one or broken up into 3 pieces, much more econimocal than the other ones. (Minke)
MM melting marshmallow moment
Love the smell, feel so soft after bath. Costs $7.95 (awnree)
Body butter
Buffy
This is totally worth the hype! It smells nice and moisturizes and exfoliates amazingly. Only rinse off the beads and pat dry the skin. (Minke)
Body tints
Shimmy shimmy glitter bar
This is awesome. Sometimes I think it has too much glitter, then I remember that that isn't a thing unless you work at Michaels during Christmas. It smells really good, cocoabuttery, kind of like white chocolate. Super moisturizing. Just be aware that you WILL get glitter on everything if you use it. Also when I put it on my arms the glitter all shifts to the bend in my arm at my elbow. (sarah)
Bubble bar
Bathos
I liked this bubble bar, lots and lots of bubbles (only used 1/2 the bar) and loved the smell. Costs $6.65 (awnree)
Flosty gritter
Not sure if it was this or another product that made me itch but I was very itchy when I got out of the tub. It's probably my sensitivity to SLS though. Other than that it makes your water a light pink color and leaves a little glitter in your tub. It's not really that glittery at all but I was looking for lots of glitter so I was dissapointed with this. (Minke)
Cleanser
Angels on bare skin
mells nice and is exfoliating. Works great for combination to dry skin. (Minke)
Aqua marina
Smells bad (like fish and seaweed) but if you use it in the shower then it won't smell that much. Other than that it is amazing and I love it! It's very good for combination to oily skin. (Minke)
Fresh farmacy
I bought this because I have sensitive skin and this KILLED my skin. It was red, itchy, spotted- it was awful. I will never go near this product again. Also, after a week is turns into a useless solid block. Not even boiling water will change it from that. (Minke)
Herbalism
This is my favorite. It smells awesome (herbal/earthy) and is exfoliating. It's great for combination skin, skin with acne and oily skin. (Minke)
Conditioner liquid
Jungle
Hate it! I love the scent but HATE the products. You pretty much need to cut off chunks and mix it with boiling water to get it to work and I still hate it. It works better as a shaving bar but I would never buy this again. (Minke)

I do like this product and I love the smell. It has lasted me a long time. This product does get lots of good reviews from other customers. Costs range from $8.75- $25.75. (awnree)
Smells awesome, is very light and is not for people who need a lot of moisture. You need to use a lot of it but it still leaves my hair needing moisture. Not that fond of this. (Minke)
It worked ok. It's not the best conditioner I've used (currently the citrus one at TJ's, before that their soymilk one), but it's good enough that it's something I'd buy if it was the cheapest thing out there... but clearly, it's not. I have fussy hair, though, so I pretty much hate all hair product. (fb)
Conditioner solid
Jungle
I wished I liked this. It did nothing to condition my hair, I now use it on my legs before I shave. Costs $9.95 (no plastic bottle to deal with) (awnree)
Dusting powder
Silky underwear dusting powder
Awesome. This smells SO good. I just got it the other day and I'm already addicted. I was hoping it would be more moisturizing than it is because it has cocoa butter in it. But I don't really care. It's awesome. You just need to be careful using it because way more than I wanted came out the first few times. (sarah)
Emotibombs
Too drunk
Works pretty well, it isn't super scented so I didn't smell a lot of it. You need to break it up and put it around your shower (on the sides of the tub) and one on the floor of the shower. Btw- I ate the eye of this and it tasted like mint chocolate...and just so you know, the eye is 100% edible. (Minke)
Face moisturizer
Imperialis
Smells great and is great for combination skin with acne! You only need to use a tiny bit. (Minke)
Ultralight
This is NOT a light moisturizer. It is nice for combination to dry skin though. (Minke)
Glorious mud
I love this. I only need to use half of a cube at a time and it smells a bit like root beer. How I use it: Take your shower then turn off the water. Dry your hands off and keep the plastic on half of the bar and rub it onto your wet skin. Leave it on for a few minutes and rinse. Pat dry or else you'll wipe off all of the good stuff. (Minke)
Hair treatment
Marilyn hair treatment moisturizer
I did like this product, I did feel like my hair felt a bit softer after I used it, but I did not see a change in my hair color. Costs $18.55 (awnree)
Shampoo bar
Gentle lentil
I wish I could tell you that I remembered how I felt about this product. I know that it did not last as long as The Blonde. So in all fairness, I should not review this - since my memory has failed me!! This one costs $8.95. (Again, no plastic bottle to deal with) (awnree)
Godiva
This is one of the best and is one of the more moisturizing bars. It smells a-freakin'-mazing and is highly recommended. (Minke)
Karma komba
LOVE this scent! I recommend anything Karma scented! This scent stays on your hair for a while and is soooo nice. Get it! (Minke)
New!
This is awesome for an itchy scalp and/or for dandruff and buildup. At times it can smell a bit like cigarettes but other than that it's awesome. Another that is highly recommended. Tip: Take out the cinnamon bark, it'll only rip your hair out. (Minke)
Seanik
This is great to get rid of build up and to give your hair a little lift. It has a very light scent and cleans well. Makes my head itch a little. (Minke)
The blonde
I liked it, I liked the smell and I like that it lasted longer than bottles of shampoo do (plus no bottle to recycle). It is rather expensive at $14.95. I did not see a noticiable difference in my hair color. From the reviews left by other customers some people did not like the product, it made their hair feel dry and created tangles. (awnree)
Shampoo liquid
Cynthia sylvia stout
One of those things that's supposed to be good for frizzy, fluffy hair (me), but... it just about made my hair as frizzy, dry, and poofy as possible. It was excellent for dandruff though. It seems like an alcohol-based product would be bad for dry hair anyway, because it's... drying. Right? (fb)
Rehab
I get tons of compliments with this stuff and it smells awesome (citrusy), it also gives my hair a lift. This also makes my head a little itchy though and personally I like solid product better. (Minke)
Soap
Bohemian
I love the scent but can't remember if it dried out my skin or not. I'll come back to this later. (Minke)
Demon in the dark
Drying but smells sooooo awesome. (Minke)
Figs and leaves
This left pieces of leaves in my tub! Other than that it was pretty nice. (Minke)
Karma
Light scented (not the best in the Karma line) and made me itch. (Minke)
Sexy peel
Smells awesome and hasn't made me itch or dry out my skin. Cleans very well. (Minke)
Sultana
I got a sample of this and it's nice. It smells really good and didn't make my skin feel weird after wards like most bar soaps do. (sarah)
Sunny citrus
This lightly moisturizes and smells awesome. It's retro so you won't find it in stores. (Minke)
Solid serum
Saving face
Very easy to use, smells good and works great. Is great for combination skin with acne. I use it as a facial moisturizer and I don't need to add more moiturizers. (Minke)
Stepping stones foot scrub
This is a TERRIBLE foot scrub but makes an amazing bath bomb! It smells sooo good and has so many nice oils in it. I love this and will buy it again but only use it as a bath bomb. (Minke)
Manic panic
Amplified cream hair dye
Bleach kits
I used one of these on dark auburn hair (I cannot remember which volume I had), and, meh. There wasn't really that much there, so I suggest buying 2 kits unless you have very short hair. I had a half bleached head of hair for part of the day before I could get another one. It left my hair pretty orange after it being on for a very long time, but with the color I had I guess it can be expected. I just wish there was more included in the kit for the price. (sarah)
Brow beautiful
Coffin dust
Concealer
Cream hair dye
Ehh. It's not the best at all. It fades very quickly even with bleaching hair before dying. I've used about 5 different colors and had the sames sub-par results for each one. It's good if you want something that doesnt last long at all though. (sarah)

MAC cosmetics
I'm a littled pissed with MAC. They never give me a list of what is vegan, rather they ask me to send them a list of products I am interested in and they'll cross check. I don't know, I know it isn't that much hassle on my end, but why can't they have at least a stamp system like Urban Decay does? (elliejelly)
Blush
Pretty colors, and blends in nicely. I really like the color "Hushabye." I don't like my blushes to look too noticeable...it looks like a "pretty sunburn" or "I just worked out" kind of color. (tulipchick)
Eye shadow
LOVE all of them! (mmmorgans)
I too love all their eye shadows! The colors are so pretty, and glide on smoothly, and stay in place. I use their eyeshadow for my eyebrows as well. It has a less "waxy" look, and there's a wide variety of colors, so it's likely that you can find a color to match your hair. I wear "Brun" or "Espresso" for my brows. Another bonus for using eyeshadow instead of pencil for your brows is you just paint it on with a brush, and don't have to sharpen (waste) a bunch of color. (tulipchick)
Lipglass
Nice glossy colors! Glides on smoothly like the lipstick, and is mostly gone when you eat...the only thing I don't like about it is your hair will stick to it when it comes in contact. I usually wear a pony tail when I wear the Lipglass. (tulipchick)
Lip pencil
Nice colors. Blends in nicely with the lip colors. Stays on nicely. (tulipchick)
Lipstick
The colors are beautiful, glides on smoothly, and don't dry out my lips. The color stays on while drinking, but will be mostly gone when you eat, but that seems to be normal with any lipstick. (tulipchick)
Liquid eyeliner
I love it! Goes on smooth and accurately, and is easy to control. (tulipchick)
Nail polish
I hate saying this (and I'm using the word "hate") but I really don't like the nail polish from MAC. I love the colors, but was so disappointed when the polish wouldn't go on smoothly. It would just glop on, and look like I polished my nails blindfolded. (tulipchick)
Studio fix foundation
(Am I ever glad I found out this was vegan) LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff....It really is amazing!! I use just a tad of concealer underneath and you need very little...doesn't give you a really matte appearance, it looks quite natural as long as you don't cake it on! (mmmorgans)
I loved the stuff when I was younger. The coverage was wonderful. Now that I'm nearly 39 it doesn't go on smoothly, and it just makes my face look older. (tulipchick)
Merry Hempsters
Lip balm
I have the vanilla, and it does not smell like vanilla at all. It's like earth/dirt. It's also a bit greasy. I won't get it again. (AC)
I have tried the Vanilla, Lemon-Lime, and Mandarin Orange, and all of them feel pretty nice on my lips, for the first hour at least. There IS a very slight gritty feeling to the application, but it smooths out and just feels..natural. My favourite is the Lemon-Lime flavour. ...all of the MH lip balms seem to get a bit tacky on the lips if they just sit there for a while...but most of Us wear off Our lip balm by talking, eating, drinking, etc....so it's not as likely that You'll experience the tackiness at all. HOWEVER, You'll want to make sure that You buy Your stick from a recent batch ...If You've experienced gross-tasting/smelling or super-hard MH lip balm, it's probably because their shelf life isn't very long, and some vendors keep selling too-old products. From MH's website: "All Merry Hempsters balms use certified organic cold pressed hemp seed oil. It is highly susceptible to oxidation. We add natural antioxidants to prolong shelf life. It is best to minimize as much light, heat, and oxygen as possible. The Merry Hempsters will guarantee our lip balms for a period of 1 year and 2 years on all lotions and muscle rubs after the time of purchase." (CW)
I also have to say that I love Merry Hempsters lip balm. I've bought some bad ones, but I've learned to just smell it before I buy it, so that it doesn't have that slightly acrid odor. I've had a good stick last 2 years. I've liked all the flavors I've tried so far. (Cams)
Orange
I love it. Tons cheaper than the VS lip butter, and its really nice! Not super shiny or sticky like some chapsticks i've had in the past. (sarah)
Ok! Orangy. MH is not my fave. (AC)
It wasn't spectacular. It was sticky and greasy, and made my mouth taste strange. (courth)
Peppermint
Mmmm. I love this. It can get kind of melty if left in pockets. But I've had it for a good 3 or 4 months and its still really good and works well. (sarah)
Natio
has a bucketload of vegan cosmetics (they make skin care products also), and only some of the lipsticks are no-nos. They make vegan mascara too, but I haven't gotten around to trying it, but I really cannot wait to! It's so very affordable at $14-15 a tube, beats the one in the health food store that $30 (elliejelly)

I didn't see that this is for "limp, damaged hair" before I bought it, but it probably won't really matter. I like it SO much better than the herbal daily conditioning scent. I really don't like that one. This is kinda tropical. Good scent. My hair doesn't really need volumizing, but I wonder if I'll notice a difference. Nah. (AC)
Chamomile and lemon verbena
Grapefruit and Wild Gingerr
Herbal daily conditioning
The scent of this is really strong! I haven't even used it yet, but P had the smell lingering after him after the shower, and it filled the whole apartment! It's like powdery smelling, and kind of old ladyish. Not bad, but...strong. I imagine it conditions just fine (AC)

Lemongrass and clary sage
Smells really good, very fresh, and did what it's supposed to do. (quidam)
Pomegranate
This is my first experience with Nature's Gate, but I had heard great things about it.....so I got it cuz it was on sale ($5 for each bottle, which is quite a good deal) and its *meh*.....doesn't really smell that strongly, doesn't suds really well and the conditioner is super runny....I'm used to a thick conditioner. Not horrible, but I'll be trying a different kind next. (erinmonster)
Tea tree and blue cypress
Deodorant
Autumn breeze
Smells kinda like a health food store or a head shop. Not of patchouli, but some other hippy like smell. I really like it though. Every time I lift my arm, I can smell it. And it seems to keep the sweat at bay. I got it - it kind of smells like Nag Champa, but not at all overpowering. I would recommend it. (erinmonster)

Toothpaste
Cool mint gel
Favoritest toothpaste ever. It's minty in a tasty way, and practically left me with the just-went-to-the-dentist clean feeling on my teeth. But I can't find it at Whole Food's anymore! Boo. (fb)
I'm pretty sure I've used this before, but the tube we have now is pretty gross! It's fine in the beginning, but the aftertaste is like vomit!!! What the heck. Maybe I had a different variety before, but I'm staying away from this. (AC)
Creme de mint
Not what I'm used to, so it will take a while to adjust. My mouth didn't feel as clean afterwards, but if I wanted to drink some juice immediately after brushing my teeth, I bet I could and it wouldn't be that nasty. (erinmonster)
This is ok. I like that it's not quite as thick as Tom's, but it's pretty similar. Not freshfresh, but all right. I'd get it again (so far) if it was the cheapest (AC)
Nature's organics
Skin care + hair care + bath/shower plus they make other non beauty products such as household cleaners and laundry detergent. I cannot be sure if everything is 100% vegan, but I know their "Fruits" and "Organic Care" shampoo and conditioners are vegan, and my bf and I have been using them for years. I was using their shampoos before I was even aware that they were vegan (my mum would buy these for the family because they were so incredibly cheap) - they're very affordable, around $2 for the Fruits and $4 for Organic Care line. Also the shower gels in both the Fruits and Organice Care line are vegan or at least the majority of them ought to, also about the same price as the shampoos. Some are labelled shower milk, but I haven't read through the ingredients to check if they do contain the dreaded milk, or if it's more a clever name. The shower gels leave the skin feeling soft, and there isn't any strong lingering scent on the skin either. very subtle fragrance. Same with the shampoos/conditioners, subtle fragrance on the hair and it fades after a day. (elliejelly)
I love these. I am so pleased I found these when we first got to NZ. We use the shower gels and shower cream and love them. We both like the exfoliating gel. I also use the 'fruits' shampoo and conditioner - they smell lovely and are so super cheap. I have used the Organic care shampoo and conditioner and whilst they are also good, they are not as cheap as the fruit ones. (shelloid)

This works well. You might have to scrub a little bit harder than normal, but that might be because I used less than I would normally (it's too expensive to waste!). It got everything off, and the smell is maybe a tad bit less strong. It's still kinda gross. (AC)

Origins
Eye brow
Fill in the blanks enhancer
It's a little waxy but it stays in place perfectly. I love the small twist tip - great for filling in hard to reach areas. The little brush on the back is great for blending in the pencil. I usually have a hard time finding the right brow pencil color - the blond is too light and the brunette looks black, but I find that the brunette pencil actually matches my brow color. (mdv)
Mascara
Full story lush lash
I think it works better after I've had it for a month or two. Stays a little 'wet' at first, so don't open your eyes really wide after applying for five minutes or so. I have really long eyelashes and I notice after a few hours I start to get black spots under my eyebrows. It does provide really nice volume and definition. (Definitely more of a volumizing than a lengthening mascara.) As an added bonus, it never makes my eyes tear or burn, which can be difficult to find as a contact lens wearer. (mdv)

I finally used up the last of my non-vegan hairwax and bought Pureology Nanowax. It's a medium-hardness creamy wax at room temperature. I spike out the hair at the back of my head and it securely holds my hair in place how I designed it and will hold any bang sculpting I do. I like the ease of use with the consistency and holding power a lot. It would hold a short fauxhawk, but it may not perform on longer, heavier hair. The container is 2.0 oz and may not last a month. I thought it was $14, but it was in the wrong place. It's $26 a jar at Ulta. Even if I find online for $20, I still don't want to spend $20-$40 on hair wax a month... (hh)
I love this stuff so much. It's too bad it's hard to find in my area now because it's the best wax EVER. It styles perfectly, and holds all day long without being greasy or crusty. If I could find this, I would still use this and only this in my hair. I don't care that it costs close to $30 in retailers. Worth every freakin' penny. (sb)

She has many vegan friendly shades of eyeshadow - I'm awaiting an email to check to see if she does indeed have any non vegan products. She lists a full ingredient list under each of her products, and from what I've seen many of them appear to be vegan. There's a bright red eyeshadow (which is also lipsafe, for those who like to mix colours with their clear lip balm/gloss) that contains Red #40 = not carmine! It's quite rare to come across anything red which doesn't contain carmine or carminic acid. All of her eyeshadows are loose, mineral based formulas. She also makes lip products called Intertubes, which are like a lip balm and lip stain all in one. No face/foundation/concealer products. Reasonably prices, considering everything is hand made! Skin care + Hair Care I've used their face wash, moisturiser, exfoliater and skin mask. At times I find the face wash to make my skin feel tight after cleansing, but it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth. From memory the moisturiser didn't leave my skin feeling greasy or that there was a layer sitting on top of it. Didn't clog my pores! The skin mask, well I'm still not sure about this one. Only used it twice so far. All the face products I've tried have a beautiful scent to them, it reminds me of lemon cheesecake Affordable at around $10 AUS a bottle. Haven't tried any of their body lotions or hair products so cannot comment on those. (elliejelly)

Apricot
Smells like apricot in the package, but that scent doesn't last in use. It works fine for me unless it's a particularly hot/strenuous day, in which case I have to re-apply. I've found that the salt-based stuff works better for me though, so I generally stick with that instead. Also, if it's hot, the deodorant because a little more liquid, which is kinda gross. (fb)

Toothpaste
This is the only brand of toothpaste that we use, and we've tried many different varieties. The only kind we have not liked is the apricot. It tastes ok when you first put it in your mouth, but after that, it gets pretty gross. It is not fresh feeling, either. (AC)
Very good. I usually get peppermint. I've tried spearmint and like it also. I'm not a huge fan of the fruity ones, I tried strawberry and got tired of it after a few days. (sarah)
peppermint should be more... minty. It works great as a toothpaste, though, so that's my only suggestion. (courth)
Like I said, I've tried a ton of varieties (strawberry and apricot gross), and most mint ones are good. However, the one for sensitive teeth (I don't really know why I got it) is strange. It seems thicker, and pastier. I don't like it. (AC)
I never really remember specific flavors, so, yeah. But they all pretty much work the same. It does a good job cleaning, all the flavors are pretty acceptable (and similar). I buy this off and on, combined with Trader Joe's toothpaste. This one's more expensive, but works better. (fb)
I've realized that all of the "sensitive" versions actually make my teeth sensitive. It can get painful. Will probably stop using this, and not get again. (AC)
Too Faced
Retractable Kabuki Brush
is the best for applying mineral makeup or finishing powder. It is so soft, and holds up well to washing. It's also easy to carry around in a purse because of the way it retracts. It is expensive (about $30), and I was hesitant to buy it at first, but I'm so glad I did. I have used Smashbox and Essence of Beauty synthetic Kabuki brushes, and this blows them both away. (rkathleen)
Trader Joe's
has some awesome vegan health & beauty products. I use their Nourish Spa Shampoo and Conditioner, and they're the best I've found so far! (27/7 glide on)I freakin' love these colors! I don't wear eyeliner every day (or every week) but I love the colors Urban Decay offers. The pigments seem 'truer' than most other vibrant pencil liners. I use Stash (a dark green/gold mix) which is subtle enough for work, but with a thicker application looks great for a night out. The color stays in place and doesn't fade over time. My only complaint is that for this much money, it should be self-sharpening. (mdv)

Age Defying Solar Care Sunless Tanner
Cost: The self-tanner lotion is 4 ounces for $17.95. Directions: The directions say to apply daily until I reach my desired color, then apply every three days. I reached the color I want in one application. Application: The lotion isn't tinted, so it was hard to know if I missed a spot, which I did, on my forearm, and it looked horrid. That's not enough to put me off trying it again. I'll just be more cognizant the next time. Color: The color is, well, tan. I don't think there's an orange to it, and it didn't streak. Smell: It smells like self-tanner, but it's not overpowering. (hh)
Zuzu luxe
Blush
Concealer
Dual Pressed Powder and Foundation
Eyeliner
(pencil) I quite like it. It's a little soft, but not too much that you can't get nice, precise lines. It's easy to blend, but doesn't smear easily. (tweedle)
(tobacco eyeliner) have nothing but good things to say about it. I don't notice any difference between it and other non-vegan brands. (peaceablepalate)
Eyeshadow
Lip gloss
Lip liner
Lipstick
Luxe Oil Free Liquid Foundation
Mascara
(espresso) I like it a lot, but find it dries out rather quickly so I have to add a drop of water occasionally to make it last. (peaceablepalate)

Has anyone here tried aromaleigh products? I've been curious about it for a long time but I'm scared of buying it. They have mostly mineral make-ups... They look so pretty and there are soo many options!

Sorry for adding more mineral make-ups! :/
I guess Ill review the:
Everyday Minerals Concealer :
I have the green one for redness and it works very very well. I just mix it in with my moisturizer in the morning and it gets rid of all my natural (over) flushing--it is NOT good for covering red blemishes though as it gets too cakey.
Everyday Minerals "Foundation" (I think its called the face or base--internet is too slow to check right now) :
Good, I have it in the matte, semi-matte and intensive. They do get darker looking the more coverage they have so you have to keep that in mind when buying. They have so many different colors that most people shouldn't have that hard of a time finding a good color. I have olive skin and have a really difficult time with foundations,,, while I haven't found the right color I have definitely gotten the closest with EM. It doesn't irritate or break me out like Bare Escentuals too!
Does anyone know if the Joe Fresh cosmetics are vegan? The website doesn't say.

Thanks for adding! I visited the aromaleigh website, and although it does say "cruelty free," I noticed that some of the products that I looked at have beeswax or silk in the ingredients. I contacted the company, and asked for a list of vegan products.
In terms of everyday minerals, I think you have the "base."
I don't see anything about meow cosmetics or purelux not testing on animals, and some products have silk powder/beeswax.
Does anyone know if the Joe Fresh cosmetics are vegan? The website doesn't say.
I couldn't find anything about this company..not even a website!
Here is the email I received from Aromaleigh:
"Allison, thank you for your interest in Aromaleigh products.
The designation “cruelty-free” on our website means that we do not conduct any animal testing.
We do not market any of products as being vegan, so we have not put together a list of products that contain no animal products.
We do provide a full and complete ingredient disclosure list for each product on our website. You may want to read through those lists for any product you’re interested in.
If you need further information about ingredients in any particular product, please write back to me for more information. We may have that information available, or it may not have been supplied to us by our ingredient supplier. In that case, we can attempt to find out the information, but we cannot guarantee our supplier will disclose the information to us.
Aromatically,
Amy"

So, I'll add them to the list, and anyone who tries a vegan product, can add a review.
"Aromatically." ;D
I added things to my cart on urbandecay.com several times, but couldn't bring myself to spend so much..even with the 30% off! I need to use up makeup I have, first.
Victorias secret lip butter in bare

Are you reviewing those? Or just typing them out to add? Thanks for the latter.
It looks like they have more vegan items, than nonvegan.
Just adding. I'd review them if I could still find them at Sephora.
oooh! I simply must add my two cents about my second-favourite lip balm:
Merry Hempsters
From MH's website:
"All Merry Hempsters balms use certified organic cold pressed hemp seed oil. It is highly susceptible to oxidation. We add natural antioxidants to prolong shelf life. It is best to minimize as much light, heat, and oxygen as possible. The Merry Hempsters will guarantee our lip balms for a period of 1 year and 2 years on all lotions and muscle rubs after the time of purchase."
Pureology Nanowax
I finally used up the last of my non-vegan hairwax and bought Pureology Nanowax. It's a medium-hardness creamy wax at room temperature. I spike out the hair at the back of my head and it securely holds my hair in place how I designed it and will hold any bang sculpting I do. I like the ease of use with the consistency and holding power a lot. It would hold a short fauxhawk, but it may not perform on longer, heavier hair.
The container is 2.0 oz and may not last a month. I thought it was $14, but it was in the wrong place. It's $26 a jar at Ulta. Even if I find online for $20, I still don't want to spend $20-$40 on hair wax a month...
... which led me to try:
Alba Botanica Soft Hold Style Cream
I think it was $8.99 for 4 ounces. It was definitely under $10 at my hfs. Alba Style Cream keeps my hair up and out. It creates a bit of a "crust," but if I scrunch my hair a little after it's dry my hair becomes closer to being normally soft - moreso than with any of the waxes I've used. The hold isn't as secure as the Nanowax so I'm not sure if it'd do a fauxhawk, but for short hair it works well enough to be a less expensive alternative to Nanowax.
Tons cheaper than the VS lip butter, and its really nice! Not super shiny or sticky like some chapsticks i've had in the past.
omg hh - i read that review thinking it was going to be for a hair (removal) wax and i started freaking out that you were waxing your head! whew!
h.a.! I could become Mr. Clean's Mrs. and convert him to veganism.
geezus... could you imagine waxing your head? ughh owww
