"Two Truths, One Lie" Game

Simple rules: Post 3 things about yourself, 2 of which are true and one is not true. The person who posts after you has to try to figure out which is not true.
I'll go first. Where's my not-true?
1. In London Heathrow, I once found myself nearly on a plane to Abu Dhabi instead of the flight to Spain I needed to be on. A BA employee had misdirected me, and only because the stewardess caught it did I get where I needed to be just in time.
2. I dated a warlock in college, who gave me a silver bracelet to wear. When I decided to break up with him, I removed the bracelet, which broke and burned my wrist. I still have the scars.
3. I've lived in Sevilla for 30 years and never once gone up the Giralda Tower.
thhf, I really hope it's number 3 but I might be able to see you doing that if there was bad service involved.
I'm going to go with #2.
THHF, as a former waitress and in the name of all that is good and pure, I hope it's number 3.
THHF, my guess is #1.
1. Across the street from my grandparents lived a family whose three children shared our names and ages. So, the oldest was a girl with my name and who was my age, the younger two were boys who shared my younger brothers' names and ages.
2. The man who officiated our wedding was very tipsy during the ceremony, and I didn't care.
3. When I was a teenager and pretty drunk, I singed off my eyebrows and some eyelashes melted into my eyes while I was playing with the chiminea in my parents' backyard.
hey, maybe a quarter was all she had... um... maybe...
hopfrog, i hope it's #3 because that sounds traumatizing :(
THHF, my guess is #1.

Tough one! I'm guessing #3 'cause I'm thinking eyelashes don't melt, unless they were falsies.
hopfrog: #3 is the lie!
#3 is the lie (I've never even been drunk)....but it happened to my brother. Kid came home totally plastered and lit the chiminea. Suddenly he comes running into the house screaming. His whole face looked like he had a bad sunburn. An ophthalmologist had to remove the eyelashes that had become fused to his eyeballs. Eventually his eyebrows grew back. Today he's as good as new - except for all the teasing.
That's horrifying!
# 1 was the lie. Yes, I really did that to the poor pizza delivery boy. I was a snotty, drunk teenage girl. Not one of my prouder moments.
Hopfrog, that is a horrible story. Your poor brother!
That poor pizza guy!
Ok, I'm playing again.
1. When I was about 4, I tried to rescue a bee from the swimming pool and got stung.
2. When I was 8 years old I invented an entire language for the sole purpose of talking to my cat.
3. I worked at Dairy Queen when I was 17. One time a drunk and/or drugged out customer pulled a knife on another customer and I called the police. I told them where I was and what was happening and they said "there's no Dairy Queen there."
those are all pretty great.
I'll say #1, and that it happened to someone else.
... I used to save bugs from pools all the time, btw. :)
If I remember correctly (and I'm probably not), you're a twin so it would make sense that you and your twin would have your own language and not you and your cat. #2.
#1 is the lie!
pg I guess number 2 as the lie....based on nothing at all!!
Ok, I'll try (but they'll be boring things whilst I try to think of exciting ones for next time)
1) I got kicked out of home when I was 17
2) I once got stung by a wasp 19 times and now have an allergy to wasp stings
3) I am terrified of slugs
Shell, 2.
#1 was the lie...I have never been stung by a bee, although I have rescued many from the pool. A similar thing happened to my youngest brother, but it was a wasp...and I don't think he was trying to rescue it, just didn't see it.
Minke, no I don't have a twin, but I have a brother who's only 15 months younger and he did pick up on the language after a while. He stopped speaking it when he was 12 or so, but I kept speaking it until my cat died when I was 24. It seemed wrong to speak to her in English after using our own language for so long. I never used it for any other cat, even though we had 6 others during her lifetime (not all at once!).
Shell, I think 2 is the lie.
One of you is a twin! I think it might be Mirrya...
Mirrya does have a twin.
Shell, I guess #3 is the lie. Slugs aren't scary just icky.
