hello from keri, stuck without internet, at the library!
so i know that brittney has been posting on here, but i haven't had a chance to get on here. i've got like a billion vegweb emails with topics to check. i think it'll take hours. i haven't actually looked around at all. i'm just posting this and signing off.
i just wanted to say that we got here okay. i'm pleased to say that i have not driven AT ALL since i got here almost a month ago. i'm not so happy to say that we are still job searching (but i have an interview in 45 minutes so wish me luck!).
all of the babies are loving their new home. it's so big. we have found that in a house we barely ever see the kitties. they have their own bedroom and they love hanging out in there and exploring this big place.
it's nice to be living with the whole family again. rainbow & harvey seem happy.
i have to leave right now but i especially wanted to say this:
SUSAN, THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCH FOR THE HOUSEWARMING GIFTIES!!!
they have been feeding us this whole time and we love everything you included!!!

okay, so it's not official yet but she said that I GOT IT!
it's NOT driving. i'm so glad. it's a security position in surveillance at a casino. so i'll be monitoring screens. i wish i could have gotten it two weeks ago but hey, this is still great!

thank you everyone! so i got the call from HR on monday which made it official and i did all of the new-hire stuff today. i found out that i make $12.21 (!!!) an hour, the benefits are 100% employee paid (medical which includes prescriptions & vision), and i start at 8 am monday for paid orientation (which lasts 4 days). this is so awesome! i'm glad convergys didn't rehire me. (convergys = evil soul sucking call center where i did tech support for directv) after orientation my schedule will be 3pm to 11pm which is so perfect for me!
and, like hh said, NO DRIVING!!!

thank you everyone. hopefully after a few paychecks i will be able to afford internet and we can get online more often. but until then, the library is open until 9 and the wifi is free! ;)b
