Do you say v-EGG-web or v-EDGE-web?

Ok, so, at vegfest i discovered that underSARAH pronounces vegweb as v-EGG-web where as I say v-EDGE-web. And last night i discovered that llg says v-EGG-web as well. Before, I hadn't even considered that pronunciation. So I was just wondering what everyone says.
p.s. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to pronounce it, I'm just curious to see what the majority is.
:D
it's vEDGEweb, like vegetarian or veggies*. If it were like "vegan," then it would have to be veegweb.
*or do you say vEGGies, uS?
Yes. This.
ha, for a second there I thought you were saying 'yes this' to 'vEGGies'! Ha!
Yep, totally vEDGEweb.
Although I quite like the name vagweb.
Agreed.
see, and vagweb only makes sense if it's vEDGEweb, because vagweb is vADGEweb, not vAGGweb. Sarah, do you say vAGGina? Hahaha.
also... about you being pronunciation president, I think we settled that with the poll: you lost in a landslide. Like, biggest landslide EVAR.
SARAH, OMG. DID YOU REALLY SAYS V-EGG-FEST?
I think my head is going to explode
this!!!
Me and N just laughed at you, sarah!!
yup, on Sunday morning, Theo, Shell, N, Mr oww and I were walking through the streets of Wellington talking/laughing about the existence of this thread and the fact that saying vegg-anything is too funny.

I went there, in my head. I was wondering how the VEGG-webbers pronounced VADGE-ina. VAGG-ina?

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
My line of thinking was that this was a Vegan website thus
Vegan (Vee-gan) + Website = veganwebsite not a catchy name soooo
Vegan- an = Veg (V-egg) and website- site = web
So we are left with Vegweb (V-egg web). I see it as a compound word consisting of vegan and website. I can see how you would get V-Edge web if you thought of it as a compound word consisting of vegetable and website or of vegetarian and website, but I still say my way is valid.
Eat that yo.
it would be veegweb, then! vegg means nothing!!!

Yup, this.
Hm, but veganweb isn't that clumsy of a name.
I think there are important factors to take into consideration:
the history of vegweb
the history of vegnews
and the "official" pronunciation of vegnews by vegnews
if "vegweb" was originally a shortening of vegan website, then i could see veegweb. If it was short for "veggie" or "vegetarian" (did it switch to officially vegan later?), then it's vedgeweb. But there's no word that contains the pronunciation vEGG, so it ain't veggweb.
also, since vegnews has a similar name, if the vegnews people say their own name vedge news, then it's probably vedge web. also, this depends on the history of the name - short for vegan, veggie, vegetarian? either way, that's veegnews or vedge news, not veggnews.
i don't remember too well, but wasn't vegweb originally called something else? "veggie" something or other? i just remember one day in the early 2000s it was suddenly yellow instead of peach and "vegweb". yeah.
ah: it was "veggies unite!". Unless you say vEGGies (you're crazy), that makes it VEDGEweb.

how quaint.
What about veghead? Is that pronounced VEGGhead too?
No, it's not. And neither is vegweb.
