Hell no to Chipotle. There's no way I'm going to make McDonald's richer just because they offer some veggie items. After all, they're making factory farming a reality as well as global warming. >:D

Based on above Mc D's doesn't own them any longer and had to get ownership of the company by buying the stocks. The owner didn't sell the co to them. Even so, I would still continue to eat there with my family because if you are going to eat meat Chipotle has standards and if more people ate at Chipotle maybe Mc D's would at least consider upping there standards of where they get their meat from.

I don't go to chipotle. When the recession hit they had less business, so they raised their prices so they could make the same amount of money. Greedy asshats. But they also raised the pay for tomato pickers by a penny a pound, so asshats with a conscience.

well, food costs have gone up a tooon (wholesale), so it might be because of that.

i love chipotle simply because it is a very popular, easy to come by restaurant that has standard vegan options; i can go out with roommates, friends, coworkers, etc, get totally filled up and have left overs.... not to mention it's delicious! i get pretty much everything one can on a burrito and keep it vegan -- BB,rice, fajitas vegs, all 4 salsas (with extra hot, please), lots o guac and lettuce.... i always give the burrito roller a hearty thank you, because it's a feat rollin that sucker up.... nearly always rips... but if it's not messy, it's no good! :-P
Of course, local burritos are better... If anyone ever ends up in cincinnati for any reason (gods help you) then make it a point to try Habanero's!! Hab's is my all-time favorite restaurant... they have several vegan specialty burritos, plus create-your own, chipotle style. Also amazing chips, with like 6 different types of salsa to choose from! mmmmm... boy i wish i wasn't 4000 miles away from it right now! lol

I like their plain veggie burrito bowl, but recently I've tried their "Garden Blend" the vegan protein they're now serving at select locations... and it was excellent. Excited to try it again.

I LOVE Qdoba, but a friend recently tried to convince me that Chipotle is way better, so I'm going to try and find one and try it. What should my first vegan meal be at Chipotle? (At Qdoba I love the mexican gumbo)

I had a bowl type thing (just cause i didn't want to be a slob with a huge burrito leaking all over my face in front of my new co workers)... the bowl was awesome though (with tortilla chips for dipping)... i think the pinto beans aren't veg because when i said i wanted the vegetarian bowl the worker guy was like "Oh so you want the black beans" so i just said "Um sure"... I got black beans, white rice, the hottest salsa, avocado, and lettuce in a bowl... it was yummy! They have chipotle flavored tabasco which tastes perfect on their food

pinto beans are deff not vegan.
I get veggie soft tacos lately. With no rice. black beans, mild salsa, a little bit of corn salsa, lettuce, guac. Sometimes I'll get rice on one of them. Actually. I usually make one different for funsies. Mm. I used to get burritos. Burritos are huge. I think you get the most for your money with a burrito.
I recommend a burrito. Haha. Its a good first time experience thing.

Yeah, the pinto beans have pork in them. :( It's nice that the workers actually know what ingredients are vegetarian!

ewww why would they put pork in the beans?!?! i guess the people who work at the chipotle here aren't very familiar with what vegetarian means cuz every time i go there and ask for the vegetarian burrito they ask me if i want pinto or black beans. thank God i like lack beans better and always chose them.
anyway, chipotle is soooooooooooooo good. im starving. i want some now.

A lot of Mexican restaurants use pork meat or fat (lard) to flavor their beans, especially refried beans. Best to always ask (or look online if possible)!
