I found this at a grocery store in town! I couldn't believe that they carry it because I've never seen it before - saw it at WF in Toronto, but not where I live.
Love peanut butter. Must buy some.
But... there were two varieties that they had - Cinnamon Raisin Swirl and White Chocolate Wonderful. I just couldn't decide. So I'm counting on you, vegweb friends, to help me choose. I could buy them both... but I want some advice anyways. Who's tried these before? Cinnamon Raisin or White Chocolate? Eenie, meenie, miney, mo...

ive been wanting to try a jar also. im deciding between the white chocolate or the dark chocolate. the cinnamon raisin does sound really good, but when i thought about it, i could make my own by just adding cinnamon and raisins to my pb. the chocolate sounds much more decadent and different.
you can easily add cinnamon and raisins to your own plain peanut butter..therefore no brainer ..
White Chocolate
I think it's been decided.
White chocolate!
You know, I haven't had white chocolate in years... and definitely not since becoming vegan. This'll be a real treat.
I'd go healthy(er) and do the cinnamon raisin. Isn't white chocolate just pure cocoa fat?
eta. oops, looks like you already decided :P
Cinnamon Raisin Swirl!! This stuff makes AMAZING breakfasts! I usually get whole wheat bread that has all sorts of fruits in it, toast it, and slather that delicious peanut butter on top. Another huge hit for me has been their dark chocolate peanut butter. OH. MY. GOD. That stuff is beyond sinful.
the other is decent, but the raisin one, the raisins are hard and unfun. the white chocolate is like the best stuff in the world. they also make a reg chocolate, a spicy one, and some other flavors. i have like 5 flavors at home.
Dear God. There is a spicy peanut butter?
Do they have it at Trader Joe's?
I havent had the white chocolate, but i have had the cinn. raisin...which i thought was TOO cinnamony and yeah, the raisins were,meh...id save the bucks and make my own.
The dark choc was very dark...kinda bitter. but i guessif you like it...
iknow you already decided, LBS, so let us know if u liked it. WHite choc has never been my thang, but i might be giving in to VW peer pressure!
PP...ive only seen it at WF and a reg. groc store...not at TJs.
i got mine at the christmas tree store ::)
white chocolate is nice because it is a hard flavor to find in the vegan world (white chocolate, not this specific peanut butter). raisins and cinnamon are everywhere.
Christmas Tree Store? What's that? The Dollar Tree?
I'll let you know how it is!
are their pb's sweet or more all natural tasting? ive only tried pb loco pb's before and they are not overly sweet. (the best is coco-banana!)
God, Americans are spoiled. ^-^ It is impossible to get decent peanut butter here. It's either too sweet, flavourless or has a disgusting texture, or all three. The "organic" peanut butter costs 4 Euros for a cup and a half and has no sweetning in it at all...salty and yet bland.
Fortunately one of my students works on the air base and got me some. Bless him. He's also a firefighter and a hunk. 8-)
What do you do at 4 in the morning, when you can’t sleep and end up tossing and turning for an hour? You get up, get dressed, and go to the 24/7 grocery store for direly needed soymilk, Silk soy creamer (for the first time ever because you’re so tired and figure what the hell you work in a n office now and that's what people put in their coffee so you can too), soup, soy milk drinking boxes in mocha flavour, Diet Coke for the addicted parents, and… White Chocolate Wonderful peanut butter. That’s what I did in the wee hours this morning.
Ok, so on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being super awesome and one being yucky yucky gross, the White Chocolate Wonderful would be… maybe a 3. At least at first, just a 3.
It’s not so “Wonderful”… but it’s still very yummy. I think after a few tastes, it grew on me and got better. The smell of it reminds me of… I don’t know, but something. Maybe peanut butter/chocolate Halloween candy? Like Oh Henry’s or something? Brings back vague memories…
I’d probably move the rating to a 3.5 or a 4. I like it, but I’m wondering if I would have like the cinnamon raisin better (I can always add my own raising, cinnamon, etc. so I’ve got not regrets).
It's not a question of which one to choose, but which one to choose first.
Just :)>>> Laurabs.
eta: not as in "just" = only..........but "just" as in I'm just going to say.... :)>>> Laurabs.
I'm :)>>> right now.

The Christmas Tree Shop?? My friend and I were just in Albany two weekends ago and stopped by the Christmas Tree Shop there and she picked up the Cinnamon Raisin one. She's been eating it everyday on toast for breakfast.
I thought the spicy one was repulsive! My hubby loves peanut butter and loves all things spicy and even he hated it.

I thought someone gave it to bp for christmas...
thats exactly how i felt about the white chocolate flavor... i thought it was ok.. maybe if there were white chocolate bits mixed in or something to give a more intense white chocolate flavor.. it's made me leery of spending 5 bucks on another flavor, but if i had to choose id pick the dark chocolate one. but then again i can add my own cocoa for free!
Personally I would rather not mess with peanut butter...it is lovely on its own! Although I do make my own peanut sauce all the time, so I guess I am guilty...but for some reason, making my own spicy peanut butter seems far less strange than buying one that is pre-spiced.
