new vegan finds!

i'd like to start a thread of new things you happen across or discover that are vegan. i browse around in the grocery store quite a bit, reading labels, and sometimes find some pretty interesting and surprising vegan foods!
so anyway, one i found this weekend is....banana babies! they're from diana's bananas and the dark chocolate ones are vegan. they're just frozen bananas dipped in chocolate, but..mmmm. the chocolate is a tiny bit waxy, but all in all, i thought it was a pretty good find.
also, many of marie calendar's fruit pies are vegan as well, which is awesome for a yummy, fatty dessert when i don't feel like making one, haha...
anyone else been finding something cool and yummy?
these look delicious - especially the gem ones - butterscotch & caramel!

the vegan ones are considered "Lifestyle Chocolates" haha
Ok so technically this isn't new but SUPER exciting!!!
I went to a dollar store in town and guess what?!? They had Earth Balance butter boxes and Soy rizo for A DOLLAR!!!!!!! :o :o
I nearly had a heart attack!!!

nice! the 'i just scored a deal on....' thread in the kitchen sink might interest you. (i feel like that thread should be in this forum though)
dude these probably aren't new but TJ's Reduced Fat Multigrian Chips French Onion Baked Not friend are to die for <3
this is the opposite of a vegan find.. i coulda swore that Hains brand vegetarian chicken flavored gravy mix was vegan, but today i was about to buy some and happened to look at the ingredients and it has milk in it. their vegetarian brown gravy mix is vegan though. maybe the chicken style one was never vegan but either way it's lame. milk doesnt even come from chickens..
It is vegan, at least mine is. I'm looking at my Hain Vegetarian Chicken Flavored Gravy Mix right now and there is no milk in it. I wonder if the ingredients are different depending on the region. I've seen that before with some products.

I went to the 99-cent store near me and checked if they had Earth Balance. They did! Only 6 boxes left of the EB sticks so I bought them all. I couldn't believe it! That's less than half the price of the EB sticks at Whole Foods.

isn't is fantabulous? I bought ten boxes... I think I'm set for life! hahaha ;D
I don't know if this has been discussed, but at my Trader Joe's they have vegan brown rice marshmallow treats. I like them. They're a little bit crumbly. I expected them to be rock hard, but they're not. I think they're great.

yum, I've had these too and they are great!
note to self: look for VEGAN MARSHMALLOW GOODIES at TJ's... I wouldn't even think to look at anything that said marshmallow so thanks :)

yes Amy, you will LOVE them, they look like this, and they are above the frozen foods, by all the cookies at my TJ's

On another note, I read in VegNews once that they had Vegan Chocolate Chip cookies at TJ's, called by that name, and I haven't ever found them at either TJ's out here. Are they called something else? The Joe-Joes are awesome though!
cool BGS thanx for the visual :)
i am obsessed with TJ's little seasoned seaweed puffs!
In my TJ's they were next to the cereal bars.
the chocolate chip cookies come in brown bags with the other "fresh baked" stuff - cakes, cookies, etc. It's usually a separate island thing.
I don't like those TJs marshmallow treats. I was excited by them at first but then I decided they were kinda gross.
Also, about ingredients being different by region... so annoying! especially with european oreos containing milk.
sorry for being such a downer.
"Streamline Black Cherry Jam"
Found it in my local Tesco over here in the UK.
Its low sugar, gluten free and vegan.
Not overly sweet/reduced sugar, packed with cherries and not too "jammy".
Delish on spelt bread for a quick brekkie or sweet snack.
Good with yoghurt (a la them muller fruit corner jobbies).
I am imagining it would be good as a cake spead/filling: black forest * gateau/cake anyone? - with a little kirsch added now that does sound good
* eta: made this recently (minus the booze) for visiting family, went down a storm with the 12yo who requested it as dessert for the next night and to ensure I get all the ingredients in for her return trip next year! The alpro dark choc mousse was a massive hit also! yeah for vegginess!
I am in Ontario Canada and I am so jealous of what Americans can find in their grocery stores.
My favourite vegan treat is Ritter Sport extra dark chocolate. Unfortunately there is cocoa butter in it, so there is some trans fats. But, when I have a chocolate craving, it is always there waiting for me.
