new vegan finds!

i'd like to start a thread of new things you happen across or discover that are vegan. i browse around in the grocery store quite a bit, reading labels, and sometimes find some pretty interesting and surprising vegan foods!
so anyway, one i found this weekend is....banana babies! they're from diana's bananas and the dark chocolate ones are vegan. they're just frozen bananas dipped in chocolate, but..mmmm. the chocolate is a tiny bit waxy, but all in all, i thought it was a pretty good find.
also, many of marie calendar's fruit pies are vegan as well, which is awesome for a yummy, fatty dessert when i don't feel like making one, haha...
anyone else been finding something cool and yummy?
interesting....now I won't have to avoid making eye contact with the little girl scouts at the grocery store....
Yea I know right...but I looked and they didnt list anything but soy and wheat. Unless they are lying, I think it should be safe.
I hope you enjoy :)
I just looked it up. Here they weren't selling any of the vegan ones =/
Poopy.
i've only tried the thanks a lot fudge out of all the vegan ones and they're ggggooooddddd :)
i totally thought no girl scout cookies would be vegan until i spotted a box someone had left in the break room and read the ingredients... and stole a few (don't tell)
I know we've talked about these in here, but P and I just finished off a package of accidentally vegan strawberry wafer cookies. So bad, but so tasty.

I remember those cookies from elementary school when we had to take in snacks for milk break! I don't know if I've seen them since. Nostalgia...(minus the milk)
Oh, as for the girl scout cookies--I have heard (and I WAS a girl scout myself :)) that there are different bakeries used all over the country, so cookies can vary from region to region. The Nutritional Facts can change slightly for the same cookie, so I'm guessing whether they're vegan or not can also change.

That' exactly what I was going to say. I bought a couple boxes from the girl I babysat a couple years ago, and they were vegan. The cookies come from different bakeries, so I'd always check the box. Personally I don't think I'd buy them, because the troop doesn't get much of anything from the sales.
O organic flax waffles & trader joes animal cookies.
Premium Brand saltine crackers (nothing beats a saline when you can't keep solids down!). My bf picked these up for me, and he said it was hard to find a vegan saltine (weird, right?). But the national brand Premium was vegan. Good to know.
So this won't really help most of you, but I found the best vegan gummi bears in the world. They're from a store called Demski and they come in bags with 12 different flavors: apple, lemon, peach, passionfruit, orange, pear, raspberry, cherry, blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, and black currant. They're colored naturally, with carrot, beet, paprika, spinach, and some other ingredients I don't know the translations for. I bought 16 bags of them. Yes I know, I'm a bit crazy about my candy. I wish everyone could try these.

I miss those peach rings. I know there's a brand of sour gummy worm that's supposed to be vegan, but I can't remember what it is. But my mouth wants them now. Geesh.

Sweet Surf makes some decent gummies. Then ones I had tasted a little too "natural" for me but they were pretty good.
I have a German professor that visits his parents and old university often, and he will bring me back candy and treats sometimes. Next time he goes I'll ask him if he can get me these yummy gummis!
We went to our new gigantic Whole Foods (in Dallas) yesterday, and my husband was psyched to find these:

The front would give you the idea they're still full of hooves, but turn it over, and you find out they're *certified* vegan: http://www.glennys.com/marshmallow-treats-c-26.html Awesome.
