Favorite Beers & Wines

What are everyone's favorite beers & wines?
For wines I like the twist-off House Red and the good ole' Charles Shaw (I know I know)....but you can't beat 2-buck-Chuck! lol....
For beers....I used to really like Tequiza before they discontinued it and Oregon Honey Beer (not vegan)...but I also like pale ales and probably most funky-looking beers sold at Trader Joe's or Cost Plus. What are your fave beers or wines or other drinks of choice?
Yeah, I mostly pick the neat-looking ones from Whole Foods. I didn't used to like/drink beer in college, but now I like it ok. I like trying different ones.
I really like any dry red wine, and I avoid whites or sweet wines. They just don't taste good to me. The drier the better. I also like darker beers better. I am a dry red wine/dark beer/dark chocolate kind of person. Bitter and not-sweet.
Tequila is probably my favorite liquor right behind coconut rum.

We have similar tastes! I also don't care for sweet or white wines... and I also like dark beer and dark chocolate... hmm... do share your favorite brands!
I like beer. It's pretty much the only alcohol I drink. Oh, and I drink cheap beer. PBR is my favorite. ha. I like wine, but it's kind of a "special occasion" type thing. Liquor...hmmm...yeah..I only drink liquor when I am at the place I will be sleeping (i.e. passing out) and have nothing to do the next day. But yeah. I like tequila.
Yeah, since I am just getting into beer, I don't know brands. And since I don't spend too much money on alcohol, I just buy cheaper vegan ones--Yellowtail and sometimes Bonterra. But I'd love suggestions! Right now I have some bottles of Brooklyn Brewing Company's Chocolate Stout in my fridge, which is pretty decent and local for me. Nice and bitter and chocolaty!
My fave brand of beers right now is anything 'McTarnahan's"...it's an Oregon (Portland) beer and awesomely good....
KMK, we have very similar tastes--dark beer, dark wine (which I can't have), dark chocolate.
I love beer. I'm a stout and porter girl mostly, so winter is my favorite season. I love Samuel Smith's stouts and porters--so dark and yummy. Bell's porter is good too. I'm also lucky to have a great local brewing company in Boulevard. Their stout is decent enough but their Bully! porter is great. But I'll try just about anything. My favorite summer beers are wheat-y: Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat, Bell's Oberon, Franziskaner Hefe-weisse...
I recently got some sad news about wine--reds might be contributing to my migraines. (Ever since I was diagnosed with migraines I"ve been tracking things I've done/eaten/drank before the onset, and red wine is a common trend.) So now I have to learn whites--only I don't like chardonnay or pinot grigio, and I can only drink reisling if I'm at a local wine festival getting drunk ::) So that leaves sauvingon blanc for the major style left. There's one kind I really like but I can't remember the name (and can't guarantee it's vegan).
I really dislike liquor overall--if I never have liquor again I'll be a happy girl. (As it stands, my tastes are again in line with KMK--I don't turn down the tequila shots and do enjoy the occasional margarita, and my standard mixed drink is a malibu and coke. But I think I'd be better if they disappeared from my life, rare as they might be in it.)
I drink Frey's organic red table wine exclusively.
I prefer their syrah. And for a white, I like their Sauvian (or however you spell it) Blanc
Has anyone had any good vegan champagnes?

oooo i LOVE their red table wine. mmm. reisling is my favorite though, no brand in particular, all of them are good. but i love sweet wine.
i also like real ale and shiner, they're local beers.
sailor jerrys is definitely my favorite liquor, its rum, but with a hint of cherry...mmmmm. just that over ice is soo good.

The cherry rum sounds good...I don't remember seeing that yet... I don't shop for liquor much though.

Thanks hjimkelsi!
I love Lager that stuff they serve at room temperature that is thick. No driving after drinking a quart
Here is PA we have Yuengling which is very tasty and they have lots of different ones all Vegan approved
Sam Adams I used to not like but in the past few years I have found there seasonal brews to be very flavorful.
Unfortunately I can not let myself drink except maybe once or twice a year
Problems with alcohol addiction

ooo seasonal brews. mmmm.
French Rabbit is my wine of choice. It's not cheap around here, but I drink wine so very rarely that it's not a big problem.
Beer is whatever I can get cheaply/free. So it's stuff like Carlsberg. But if it's I'm back home and it's a special occasion, I might go for a Granville Island Brewery cream ale. Because cream ale is AMAZING.
And I have to put in a vote for Stronbow/Bulmer's cider. Even though it's neither beer nor wine.
I really like Anchor Steam Porter and some of the craft-brewed beers my favorite bar gets in on tap. I drink Frey's organic red table wine exclusively. Like caroleena, I have to really watch my red wine intake or I'll get a migraine for sure!
PS - Caroleena - be careful with tequila. It's another migraine trigger for me. I drink crown royal.
I was at the liquor store and wanted to try something different, so I picked up some Anchor Porter. Thanks for the suggestion--it's yummy!
Good to know about tequila. Like I said I really rarely drink the stuff, but this is all the more reason to cut it out completely. Margaritas are yummy but totally not worth the calories (not when there's good beer to be had.)
I always have Charles Shaw (from TJ's ) good ole' 2buck chuck on hand (Merlot & Cab) for when I'm out of better wines... not my favorite but definitely good for the price ;)b I also like Aussie wines. I pretty much will buy anything Trader Joe's has-- if they stock it, I will try it at least once! And if I like it, I'll start stocking up!
Glad you liked it! It's sort of sweet for a porter, but it's a nice change. The only liquors that I can drink without risking a migraine are whiskey (love the Crown) and brandy. Anything else and I'm setting myself up for two days in bed. ::)
Oooh I love whiskey!
I really need to try the Sailor Jerry. Rum is my favorite.
I just tried this stuff called "Lambic" Casses Beer. It comes in a wine looking bottle and is flavored with Black Currants. It basically tasted like grape juice. It was awesome! I'm guessing the alcohol content is low since it wasn't listed, but it did have the alcohol warning on it. A must have!!! :)>>>
I am loving the cabernet sauvignon Chevere. It's at Whole Foods and it is so good! We are mailing a bottle to my fiance's dad this week.*
