Do you guys sneeze in the middle of the night?

Rarely, and it always wakes DH up (and he gets mad, like I did it on purpose to wake him!) For some reason, every morning of my life since highschool, once I get really awake I sneeze 3 times in a row! I don't know, maybe my nose just dries out. I tell my husband it's the way I start the motor!

I sleep like a rock with my medicine, so no.
But can anybody keep their eyes open while sneezing?

I sleep like a rock with my medicine, so no.
But can anybody keep their eyes open while sneezing?
I tried once...actually held them open to see if it was possible and I think I nearly exploded my head.
I feel extremely embarrassed about telling you that. ;D

I would have paid money to be there, CYETS. Your poor head, on the verge of exploding! :( Who am I kidding, I would've done it with you.

I don't sneeze in the middle of the night, usually, but I've done it a time or two, I'm sure.
Related, Is anyone else a "sun sneezer?" My hubs thinks I'm nuts, but I swear bright light makes me sneeze. I've met a few others out there. Anyone know the physiology behind it?

I'm a sun sneezer. My mom and my kids do too. My husband does, also, I think, but he has allergies so bad that I can't really tell for sure.

Yes! I have sun sneezing as does my aunt. I looked it up, and it's related to a malfunction in the way eyes process light. Everything is pretty interrelated, so it sort of does make sense that your nose would respond.

23% of people sneeze when exposed to bright light.

DH does that and apparently there IS a medical/physiology basis for it. All I know is the inside of the car windscreen and his window are covered with dried droplets!
Maybe, like my morning sneezes, the mucous membrane calls for a "sneeze" so it doesn't dry out?? (My brain cruising in neutral here...)

My BFF is a sun sneezer! She always used to joke about it. But after reading these responses, I will tell her to read up; there may be something to it.

I sneeze in the middle of the night. The window is still open so I assumed it was allergies from this changing time of the year.
My grandmother was a champion sneezer. She, once, sneezed 10 times in a row and threw her back out. :) I think my mom and I have both inherited this trait. My mom and I both sneezed 5 times in a row. I guess it was a competition between us.

To the middle of the night sneezers: Could you be allergic to your pillow, or the dust in it, or mites in the bed/pillow? I had a terrible "cold" one winter until the doctor made my mom throw out the feather pillows!
