Who's a wrestling fan?

Do you believe what happened with chris benoit?

As in, isn't it horrible? Or as in they aren't putting out the truth about what happened.  He killed his wife and child and then a couple of days later, himself, in case you don't watch tv news or are in a foreign country.  They think it was 'roid rage related.  I'm not a rasslin' (no one pronouces it wrestling) but I've seen the news stories.  So sad  :'(

not neccessarily a wrestling fan, but the whole ordeal is super crazy.  it's so hard to imagine what people feel that makes them want to do something like that

I've been seeing lots about this and though I'm not a wrestling fan, this is the craziest story I've heard in a while.

It's not certain he did it.

It sure looks that way yes. They need to be certain though. This man had a major major legacy to leave behind.

Most people don't leave that kind of legacy behind.

It's such a shame that a whole family perished like that. :'( :'( :'( :'(

Legacy as in being a wrestling superstar?  Yeah, people don't usually throw that away.  But look at OJ Simpson.  Even though he wasn't convicted, his "legacy" as one of the greatest professional football players once upon a time, counts for nothing.  Most people believe he's a killer (I know I do) and they wouldn't cross the street to meet him.  I'd cross to the other side if I saw him on the same sidewalk as me.  A crime of passion murder like this appears to be, is a bit like the "permanent solution to a temporary problem" that suicide is, there's no undoing it even if you are full of remorse.  'Roid rage is also a form of psychosis in my humble opinion, too.  When you're psychotic, I assume your "legacy" is the farthest thing from your mind.

I've seen the photos of him with his young son.  Too tragic to put into words.  :'(

Your right in what your saying as in with OJ too. Just with us wrestling fans it hits us very hard. I've been watching it since I was like 14 or 15 years old. I'm 39 now. I always thought of them as like my "super heroes" and that they are"indestructuble" lol .

I don't think it was roid rage though. I think it was a domestic dispute.

or it could be a mixture of the two   :o. i'm one of those "can't answer yes or no people".

That's true. But who knows though. Who really knows. :'(

I assume that the authorities will conduct an autopsy on all the victims, including Chris Benoit.  A toxicology screen is usually done (was done in the case of the VA Tech killer) and it will tell if he had been using steroids on a regular basis.  It will also check for brain tumors.  Charles Whitman, the UT tower killer, had a brain tumor.  He killed his wife and mother before climbing to the top of the tower at UT Austin, killing the secretary/receptionist who he encountered along the way and then opening sniper fire up on the campus.  I forget how many innocent people died that day in August, 1966 but it was a lot.  We will never know moment to moment how this terrible tragedy took place but between forensic science and forensic psychology, we can get a picture of why.

That's really a shame with Charles Whitman. I'm truly beginning to believe that our physical health can destroy our mental health. There was another story like that a couple of years ago.
