Spam is NOT vegan! So thanks for removing it.

I just wanted to say I appreciate the swift response to the spam threads that have been cropping up. I hope that there's a way to prevent it from continuing, and I'm sure it's being looked into.
But, really, I appreciate the efficient moderating. I'm sure others do, too.
;)b
WML is a superstar.
Yes! happy to see it all gone! I once was a member of a forum and the moderators didnt do much, and it got TAKEN OVER by spam bots, like, a post every minute, there were hundreds of pages, so everyone just left. Sad to see that happen and glad we have people here that wont let it happen!
I definitely agree!
I'm sure it's overwhelming for her. I've seen so many just in the last couple days.
Thanks for all your doing, Miss Laura!
Yea for WML!! I gotta say--I have a total vegweb crush on her because she is *so* awesome! I was really a little concerned when VegNews took over--but everything rocks and it is due in large part to Laura! Woot!!
Also agreed. Spam is icky.
when I was very young I used to love the tinned spam. My favourite but was the 'jelly' stuff around the edges.
I think I'd puke now if someone tried to make me eat spam let alone the jelly http://www.virtualfestivals.com/myfests/style_emoticons/default/sick.gif
Eek, shell, that somehow reminded me of that meat in delis. I think its called head cheese. Its like tounge and peppers held together by gelatin. Talk about not vegan.
head cheese - wtf?
I'm tempted to remove my post now - much embarrassed. In my defense, I only ate it when very young - like 5 or 6 years old, tops.

You are not alone, Shell. you know, I'm totally not talkin about myself obviously. ::)
p.s. i used to like it fried...my mom would never ever do it though...only my dad.
Oh man! I just remembered after I typed that last reply...we used to sing this song a girl scout camp about spam. it's kinda stuck in my head now. i haven't even thought about it in years. great. it's TOTALLY not vegan. gross.
So the "Congratulations on becoming a vegan" guy was a spammer? I thought so and I wuzgunna report it but then I thought, come on yabbit, you are getting cynical. Photo, but no profile....anyone can post a photo of anyone, it doesn't have to be them. I just was so afraid I was turning into a VegWeb Report Monkey....but then I hate spam as much as the next VWer.
BTW, some people on BBC Radio 4 opened a can of Spam-the-supposed-food a year or so back, that was from WW2. It looked and smelled like normal Spam, but oddly enough, no one volunteered to taste it.... :-D
Spam, spam, spam, spam.

lolz, so I'm glad that I wasn't the only who thought of actual spam when I saw the name of this thread. :P
Me too. I was fixin to say why would spam be on here and who would think it was vegan.
Spam, spam, spam, spam.

OMG, I haven't seen that in years! But once people started talking about spam ,the meat, that is what I thought about!
great minds think alike jessesmum ;)b
Hey I wonder if anyone has thought of making Vegie Spam, for those who miss it so much. I can't remember if I ever ate it myself. It was a loonnngggg time ago when I stopped eating stuff like that.
That video was pretty funny! ;D
Dooood. There are vegan spam recipes floating around. If you're not feeling industrious, you can buy canned vegan haggis.
I just thought - it would be funny in a dry humor sort of way if someone spammed the anti-spam thread.
