Is pop vegan?

I rarely drink pop/soda but occasionally I do enjoy a can once a week or so.
IS there anything in coke, 7-up or ginger ale that would make it non vegan?
Thanks for your help.
A tiny part of me thought this was going to be about pop music.
"Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?"
But to answer your question, I'm not very sure. I will say that Jones Soda uses cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, though.
me too CK!!!!!! I thought he was just being sarcastic!
I don't think there's a certain ingredient in soda that's animal derived. I don't know, but I'd think that "natural flavors" associated with soda wouldn't be animal-based, but who'd think McDonalds would put beef juice in fries? I guess diet soda would be less vegan because artificial sweeteners undergo animal testing. I think it's a personal decision. I don't know of any hard rule about it.
It may be vegan but it's certainly not healthy. ^-^
And they are full of acids that destroy your teeth and leach the calcium from your bones. You don't believe me? Put a tooth or a piece of bone in a glass of soda and leave it for 24 hrs.
OK, so bones aren't vegan, but we did this in highschool to prove the point. Now think what that stuff is doing to your insides.
Anything that can take the rust off a car battery or a lug nut in less than 15 min is NOT healthy.
It's the sugar thing, again.
I don't drink soda (never really have), but P does. If we buy it at the store (rarely), the gets the natural soda, but he sometimes drinks regular, too.
Do you think that drinking sparkling mineral water would have the same effect on your teeth and bones? I tend to drink a lot of it since I gave up soda and I'm just wondering...
ive heard that anything with carbonation isnt good for your teeth. :(
As I understand it, it's best to drink carbonated beverages with a straw to bypass exposure to teeth.
Diet soda is my vice. Fountain drinks taste the best. As far as I know, it's completely vegan, just not healthy.

beer with a straw?! :D
and CK!, good nick hornby reference.
It's called SODA.
If you ask for a Coke in Japan, they give you coffee.
Just sayin'.
and if you ask for club soda in Ireland they give you some super sweet orange flavored soda. If you want club soda there you have to call it soda water.

If your for coke amongst my friends, they give you a line.

Ha, I'll pass. :-D
Also, if you ask someone in Japan what Georgia is famous for, they will tell you coffee (Coca Cola sells a coffee there called Georgia).
eep, that should sat if you ask for. My grammar is piss poor before noon.
So I'm sitting in another boring meeting and the guy next to me is drinking a can of diet coke and I find reading the label more intersting than the meeting.
I googled phenylalanine which there was a note on the can about it containing this and me not knowing what it is.
Would this make diet coke not vegan or is it manufactured artificially for this drink?
I don't actually drink diet pop but am interested if it is vegan and if it is in other pops?
I would avoid it. I saw on multiple websites that it is animal derived in most cases and it causes cancer. Not to mention that aspartame (supposedly) has traces of arsenic in it. AND diet soda also has a chemical in it that makes you hungry.
It's called SODA.
Right on!! I hate it when people say "pop" <------ serious pet peave!
Also--everytime i see this thread i think it says "is poop vegan" and I laugh and laugh and laugh!
