Yo. Just tell me what you think. Also, do you think this question is sexist?
I will tell you my thoughts in a few.

No, I don't think this question is sexist, but I don't really think in those terms, ever....
I voted yes. But I'm fairly weak. I'm sure there are plenty of women who could kick my husband's ass - I probably could....but in general, I tend to think men are stronger than women. Sorry if that's....sexist.

The question is very vague and I think I see where you're going with this. On its own, no, the question is not sexist but I don't feel it's specific enough to give an answer with any real meaning.
Are men physically stronger than women? Are men emotionally stronger than men? Can men cope with issue x better than women? Would a man be strong enough to endure childbirth? These START to get closer to giving a meaningful answer, but are still very open ended.
I voted yes, assuming the typical use of word strength as it relates to physicality, and that the average human male is stronger than the average human female.

sorry, i did mean physically stronger. i knew i should have said that after i had made the poll. whoops.
anyway, dustin and i were just talking about working on farms or something for a living and he sad we could be hay balers and i sad "maybe you could.. i'm not strong enough" and he said that since hs 15 year old self could do it so could i and i said that's dumb because men are stronger than women. and he said that is false and sexist (he was being sarcastic) and i should say that on vegweb. lol. so i sad i would make it a poll.
anyway, as a women that has engaged in many physically demanding things, many aganst men (like when i wrestled all throughout high school), i hold the opinion that men are stronger. of course there are men i can beat up, but my physical fitness s better than theirs.
strongest man v. strongest woman = strongest man being victorious.

i also think men are emotionally stronger (not the question) because they don't obsess about thing, they don't think as much about things, they just act... i got my bf into vegetarianism by showing him videos on what animal based diets do to ur health (thanks hesp) not how animals r treated because he doesn't care... vegwebbers feel free to knock my comments but they make sense to me

I'd say on average, yes, both because of testosterone's effects as a steroid and cultural conditioning that inclines men to put a value on 'strength' and women on 'beauty.' Which doesn't mean that some women aren't stronger than some men, or that there's some huge genetic destiny thing at work.

Of concurrent ages? With concurrent activity levels? Too many "yes, buts" here. My husband and I are the same height. But I am 18 years the younger, stockier and much bigger in build (bone structure etc). And grew up in a rural environment. So pound for pound I am stronger than he is. He has one hell of a grip, but he has had an office job all his life and never been into sports, so he never acquired muscles. I prefer a rather sedentary lifestyle but I did fence in college.

i explained a little better in my second post... all thing being equal if men are physically stronger. i also think men are emotionally stronger (not the question) because they don't obsess about thing, they don't think as much about things, they just act... i got my bf into vegetarianism by showing him videos on what animal based diets do to ur health (thanks hesp) not how animals r treated because he doesn't care... vegwebbers feel free to knock my comments but they make sense to me
but i dunno, could you really say that? like who is the emotionally strongest man and who is the emotionally strongest woman and how can we compare them? i'm not prepared to make a comment on if there s a difference in emotional strength.
i dunno, physical strength seems easy to compare and obvious to.. everyone..

Again, I agree that the majority of men are likely to perform better in physical strength tests than the majority of women. That said, many of us have such a sedentary lifestyle that it wouldn't be particularly hard for a woman to train to the point where she was physically stronger than your average, desk-job man.
Emotional strength, however you define that, is impossible to measure though.

Yes I totally agree that emotional strength would be hard to compare because it is so subjective... I just think men can handle things better than women or maybe they are just better at hiding their feelings?
