odd dinners

So I just finished baking "big easy bread" which I made wrong, (didn't rise) but I ate like half of a loaf in one sitting... I feel guilty because I am not even a bread and pasta person.
What's the strangest thing you've caught yourself eating at dinnertime?
Back when I used to bake sugary fatty things, I would make cookies to take to a party or some such... well, you know how that goes... half of dinner was dough and the other half was cookies! I never intended it that way, but for one thing you have to taste test, and for another I'm a chronic procrastinator -- if I'm making cookies for a party then chances are I haven't left myself enough time to make a proper meal for myself before leaving.
I made easy big bread tonight too -- don't give up, it's a great recipe! In fact it's the only yeast bread I've ever made, so I guess I'm not qualified to judge it... but it can come out really tasty, I promise! I make mine with 5 cups whole wheat flour, one cup gluten and a handful of oats.
Popcorn. Followed by a spoonful of peanut butter.
More peanut butter than a spoonful.
Well, soy nut butter. Or, raw almond butter.
Or cookie dough. Which I purposely didn't bake so that I couldn't eat more cookies- didn't work well, huh?
I eat a lot at night; I need to figure out what I'm missing during the day that causes me to do that- it makes me feel terribly guilty.

were you at my house tonight?

I am a stalker, you know! ;)
Cereal.
Or bananas with peanut butter.
I tend to eat too much in the evenings as well. I think it's because I do so well with keeping my portions small during the day that by the time I get home in the evening I feel like I've " earned" the right to eat as much as I want. And then I wind up feeling miserable and guilty. Sheesh!
Weird dinners .... hmmmmmm, well according to my non-veggie friends, I eat weird dinners all the time! ;D
Otherwise, I tend to not follow a "traditional" menu. Sometimes I eat dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner. As long as I get all the nutrition in, during the day, then I eat whatever food I most want first.
I am guilty of eating "ice cream" for dinner more than a few times.
THESE are your idea of a weird dinner? haha. :P I beat you all so bad!
Okay, a while back I couldn't buy groceries so I make strange concotions out of whatever I could find here are few of them
bananas and rice with cinnamon...actually really yummy
spaghetti and veganaise with canned veggies thrown in
spaghetti and salsa
roman noodles (minus the flavoring) with kidney beans, veganise and canned veggies..also pretty good
spaghetti with salad dressing (pretty much all of it works)
hotdog buns with salad dressing...
either I'm a good concocter or else I have no taste buds! humm...but Ive always like really wacky concotions, I guess. I used to be a big fan of pickles with cottage cheese!
I can't think of any weird dinners I've eaten, but I often eat what people might consider to be weird breakfasts; like steamed broccoli or green beans and potatoes. :)
Banana sandwich on toasted wholegrain bread with PB or brown sugar or condensed milk. Comfort food!
Veghead, when your hungry, anything tastes good ;D
I've been known to have cookies for dinner. We stopped at the Amish farmer's market the other day (our amish here are not puppymillers, they never sell dogs, at least this particular family does not) and they have fresh baked goods on Saturdays. We got a loaf of bread. Dinner was served :)
I eat tofu gan right out of the package but only when I first open the package. If it sits for a day in the fridge it tastes less fresh and inviting and goes into stirfries.
(BTW I did it again, started with a few half-veg and now have The Incredible Monster Stirfry that Ate Philadelphia waiting for me. ;D ;D)
I used to eat banana chips like there was no tomorrow. That was often what I had for supper - just a bowl full of banana chips.
The thought of it is pretty gross now. Banana chips aren't good for you - they're usually fried and covered in honey and sugar. I'd rather just eat a fresh banana.
pickle and tahini sandwiches are good for breakfast lunch or dinner :D

oh wow, I love pb and pickles but I never thought of this! Sounds even better. :)

I crave pickles when I have a hangover...this could be a good alternative. :)
Speaking of odd dinners ....
I just ate hot air popped pop corn, with some soy "butter," sprinkled with nutrional yeast, and drizzled in honey (I'm the honey eating vegan type).
baked beans right out of the can
i know i'm bad 8)
i too am guilty of the popcorn for dinner thing.. but it IS a whole grain so i rationalize it.
Wow, tahini and pickles and peanut butter and pickles take the cake in my book!! I looove pickles, hell I'll dip a pickle in relish!
