not forget to take some time this weekend and remember those for whom this Holiday weekend is in observance of. Particularly those brave men and women in Uniform that have made the ultimate sacrifice :'(, which enable all of us to enjoy the freedom and liberties our country has to offer.
May GOD bless all our Armed Forces personnel, both past and present, and may he keep those safe whom are defending our great nation.
Please say a prayer for all our Hero's in Uniform.

Well, I'm not a praying man but will be honoring those that have given their lives for this wonderful country.

Is there a reason why you chose to emphasize the word, g*d? :hrmm:

Is there a reason you decided to bring attention to it? I doubt I would have even noticed. Most religious people I know at least capitalize it (if not write it in all CAPS). How about focussing on honoring the men and women who have given all for their country instead of being an ass. There is 'Food Fight' for that.

I was simply asking a question. I wasn't dissing the post nor was I taking away from the troops. Again, I was asking the author a question for discussion.

Yes, because he is GOD. ::)

Laurenlovesgoodies gave you the same answer I would have, almost verbatim. but she was more polite. ^-^

I'm no troll..I was only curious. I come from a family full of servicemen/women. My family is also full of hardcore religious folks.
Then you should know that for people who are religious, they are using capitalization as a way of showing their respect/devotion (whatever other term would be appropriate here) to the term/name "god".
I would ask them the same thing. In my mind, it's like asking why you put your right shoe on before you put on your left. Just curious to know someone's psyche. Nothing more, nothing less.

:read:Then perhaps common sense should be one of your aspirations in life.

Yep. Later, man.
Listen, I'm not trying to disrespect you or discredit you or the troops. I'm just trying to learn more about you and where you were coming from with your post. If religion is your thing...by all means, go for it. Peace!
Well, I wouldn't exactly say religion is "my thing" .
But if you must know, I do believe in a higher power, and that higher power happens to be GOD. I also believe in praying at times, mostly prayers of thanks, and prayers for others. When I do pray, I pray to GOD.
I do not belong to, nor, attend any church.
And frankly, I really don't see how such a rather mundane post would generate so much curiosity :-\
Good Nite for real.
