How'd you choose your user name? (again)

I noticed quite a few users online that I haven't noticed before. A few of them have user names are so unusual that I thought it'd be interesting to ask about them. (There was a thread quite a while back that also asked this but it was so long ago that I didn't think I'd be able to find it to bump it up.)
I'll start *T* is for my first name and I'm *in* *Texas*.
Don't be shy, "skinnybonesscooter", "BooBooCat", "moonnecklace" and "hawtfootedwomen". Curious people want to know. It'd be a great way to introduce yourself.

I wish I had an interesting story.
When I first got a screenname, I think I was 9 or something, and because I liked cats I just tried having "cats." duh, it was already taken, and the computer gave me a random string of numbers at the end to make it unique. wound up being "cats883532".
I got too cool for that screen name at the end of middle school, and wanted something more unique/original. Fauna Blues just sounded cool. Came out of nowhere.
But sometimes when I'm asked now, I like to make up that it has to do with animal rights - fauna (animal) blues (sadness).
I also like jazz.
I have no idea where it actually came from, which I think is a better origin than had I stuck with "cats" :P
I acquired the nickname "cymbal wench" in high school, when I played cymbals in the marching band. it's a name that's stuck with me for a few years, and I've used it for multiple screen names, etc.
I almost used it when I created my vegweb profile, but I finally decided to change it up for variety's sake....replace "cymbal" with one of my favorite veggies, and there you have it.
This is great! Now I know how to pronounce these names in my head when I read the posts.
I wanted to use forgetmenot as my name because it has been my favorite flower since I was 5. I even have a tattoo of one on my ankle. But since that name was already taken I went with Rosewood, which I've loved for years and use for many things. Roses are just so beautiful, romantic, and when I'm in the woods I feel safe and calm and everything bad seems to fall away. So that's where my name is from.
EarthGuard - I am a Head Lifeguard at home during the summer and everyone knows that I basically live at the two pools I work for. A few years ago at Halloween I was going to be lame and just go as a lifeguard, but then thought, "Hey, I could be an Earthguard." Being the crazy, earth saving kid I am, I made a t-shirt that looks just like my guard shirt but says "Earth Guard" instead. People still call me "Earth Guard," so I use it in a lot of user names, etc. :)
:) I'm glad you posted, earthguard. Now I can get another image in my head. EarthGuard is an erosion control spray people put on slopes to keep them from eroding. Instead, now I'll think of the lifeguard earthguard shirt -so much nicer.
I used to work with a guy that would call everyone by their first initial followed by "Bone". Worked well if your name was "Tom" and you could be "T-Bone". My first name is Kevin. The guy called me K-Bone for so long that it kind of stuck in my head.
for some reason when i made this name a long while ago, i couldnt use underscores, which is usually how i use it. hi_im_kelsi. ohwell.
;D I forgot where you said you were this summer - Finland or somewhere. I thought "hiimkelsi" was some cool word in the language of where you were visiting.
haha when its all smushed together. it does look like some interesting foreign word! and i did go to scandanavia! denmark. but its all in the same area. sorta.

When I originally chose a screen name years ago, the one I wanted was taken, so my boyfriend (at the time) was thinking of numbers to use and came up with 42 (I think he got it from "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," but excuse my ignorance). Anyway, the Lotus is my favorite Hindu symbol. Put them together and you get Lotus42!

So unoriginal, but it'sactually branching out for me; I used to not accept any shortening of my name, but now I like it a little bit :)

Mine is lame I gotta change it soon lol on here. I used to be a figure skater 14 is the day of my birthday. 12 is the day of my little sisters and 07 is the month of my birthday. If you guys could help me find a good screename for here that would be good. I got a screename to inaporpate for this fourm. i was gonna change it to choricemilk because chocsoymilk was taken.
