How'd you choose your user name? (again)

I noticed quite a few users online that I haven't noticed before. A few of them have user names are so unusual that I thought it'd be interesting to ask about them. (There was a thread quite a while back that also asked this but it was so long ago that I didn't think I'd be able to find it to bump it up.)
I'll start *T* is for my first name and I'm *in* *Texas*.
Don't be shy, "skinnybonesscooter", "BooBooCat", "moonnecklace" and "hawtfootedwomen". Curious people want to know. It'd be a great way to introduce yourself.
I just picked mine cause I am a Firefighter and I love Backgammon. Not too original but alot of the other ones were taken and that worked!! I get a kick outta all the neat names on here! Cool! Way to go! Lots of cat lovers.
My real name is Ashley Kimball. I used to have the screenname "bravecaspian" and I used it EVERYWHERE. People would always ask what it meant, and I wouldn't really have an answer! I dont know why I chose it, I just liked the way it sounded. I've started using my real name on forums and for email and stuff, just because it's easier to remember ....
Firegammon, I love cats, too. I could have made a "cat" screenname but I didn't think of it at the time.

My name is my initials. When you run them together it sounds like that word that starts with 'b' and rhymes with witch. I think it's really funny. Not very creative, but easy to remember and 'Brooke' was taken.

If I'd had any brains when I signed up I would have been "orinoco womble"...because deep down I AM a womble. And orinoco is my kind of guy...good food and sleep.
But, being particularly unimaginative, I used the nickname a little friend gave my husband. She calls him "the yabbit (as in rabbit) man" and since I'm his girl, I must be yabbitgirl.
Once I played around with Elton John's song "Rocket man" and turned it into "yabbit man" in Minna's honour.
I use mine for a lot of things too. It's from a song by this really obscure band called Tiamat. The lyrics go "What you believe in, you will find, close your eyes to see...this will take a while."
There's sort of a funny story that involves drugs linked to it too though. I just typed it out and realized it wouldn't be funny to anyone but me. But I loved the lyrics, so that's the screen name! ;)
Books are what I "do"--I'm a librarian; and "mama" because I have 3 children (all grown now, however).

I read it in highschool. While I didn't care for the story that much, I thought the name was cute at the time. I've been using it online since then.
mine just comes from the name I will give my new house as it's in the middle of a wildwood, i love the sound of it, free and natural :)
DeuceO....my best friend since I was 5 yrs old (we both have the same first name) is married to my husband's brother. She got married first, then I got married 6 months later. So now we have the same first AND last name. Since I was second to get married, Deuce is a nickname from my husband. Also because I'm a Gemini (the twins) and my bday is June 2. "O" is the first inital of my last name (married name).

i think this was my aim name at first, and i made it because i wanted people to remember who i was on their buddy list. you know, sometimes you look through your list and you see "asparagusluvr' or something and you think .. who in the world is that. well. when people would see name they would say. oh. thats kelsi. and then they wouldnt have to ask, or even worse, forget who i was and not talk to me any more.
for some reason when i made this name a long while ago, i couldnt use underscores, which is usually how i use it. hi_im_kelsi. ohwell.
My Mom nicknamed me Beefaroni when I was younger (long story, but it has to do with some boy mangling my real name - Bethany - into Befornee). I used Beefaroni as my user name on VeggieBoards and people thought I was a troll and were really hostile to me. Then I realized that Beefaroni was a misleading name for a vegan. So I became...Veggeroni.
My Mom still calls me Beefaroni though ;)

;D I forgot where you said you were this summer - Finland or somewhere. I thought "hiimkelsi" was some cool word in the language of where you were visiting.
