That's exactly how I feel. I've been obsessing with soy and beans and veggies for only a few days. Then the night before last I had Trader Joe's manderin chicken (a fav) and last night a burger and a couple of hot dogs. Wow did I ever feel sick this morning. I was thinking that as I made the switch to better eating I'd retain a few of my favorite things till the very end but now I'm going to definitely have to rethink that. Also in the past 2 days I've been VERY hungry. So now as I sit here with my no flour sprouted wheat bread topped with hard boiled egg, steamed lentils (another Trader Joe's fav) and shredded soy cheese melted on top my nose is clearing and my body is saying thank you! I'm going to learn this lesson real quick!
I am on roll....my head is spinning. :-X
I agree with mdvegan. Try veg*nizing your favorite recipes and you'll be pleasantly surprised! So good! It's okay. It's all one step at a time. If you fall off the wagon, it's okay. Just get right back on again. You can do it! One day at a time. Good luck! :)
morningstars chikn strips are awesome - i bet they'd be delicious in an orange style dish.
you should also check out the official packaged 'meat's thread that AC put together, you can find it here on the food & cooking forum. you can find some reviews on burgers and hotdogs that should help you pick a good replacement.
Make this http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=15978.0 orange chicken style tofu. It is so awesome!

Agreed. Thanks for reminding me of this one. I think I will make this one day next week.
That totally happens to me too. The longer I don't eat meat, when I do, my entire digestive system comes to a halt for a couple days. Very unpleasant. Makes me more determined to not eat it again.
Ooooh some of these recipes look yummy! And face it - at least for me I don't eat it for the meat, just the topping/crust. I do have a HUGE "problem" tho! I'm not alone! I have 2 boys who are quickly getting hooked on the tofu items I am bringing home (and if you know boys you know how they eat!). I am very quickly running out of ingredients!! :D I'm going to have to really stock up next time I shop!! This is fun (and no guilt!!)
