I'm bored at work and will answer them with the most creative response that I can think of.

Can I have cake for breakfast?
Can I have cake for breakfast?
You can--if you have cake.
But you can't have your cake and eat it too... :nono:

This reminds me of a remark I heard myself make to a friend who just broke up with her "amour" because she finally realised he IS two-timing her and has no intention of straightening up:
"He wants to have his cake and eat yours."
I was impressed with myself...hee hee. I love it when someone else just speaks through my mouth like that! ;D
Should I go to see Alex Grey tonight to hear him speak/watch him and his wife paint to music, or should I stay home and continue to organize my books?

It is unfortunately possible that you will get sick. Just try to avoid them (bf and flatmates) as much as possible and be sure tp get plenty of vitamin c.

Flipping it over won't work because it will just turn into a nose clamp.
What's the best way to accept the past and move on, instead of letting it tie you down?
Is it just me?
Must be, I guess... :-\
Why is it, that a person who would never dream of shoplifting thinks it's perfectly OK to borrow and keep (or "lose") a CD or a book? And can even laugh about it?

That's a tricky one.
For each person that's different.
I'd say:
#1. don't try to forget your past, there is something to learn from it.
#2. try to recoginze how it is tying you down and try to actively counteract it
#3 if all else fails... do something to make you laugh (or something to make others laugh!)
I've always believed in laughter (when appropriate).

I take it that it is someone you know?
I guess that they think it's OK because they know you, they have a connection to you rather than a store/corporation. They probably think that since it's someone they know no real harm can come from it (prosecution).
They can laugh about it because they never really valued other people's possessions and kindness. To them, it's not a big deal, it's a thing and things don't matter to them - it wasn't a treasured piece to them.
I hope that they come to their senses and give it back or at least offer a way to replace it, if possible.
I guess I could ask a random question huh? <-- well there's one...
Will I make a veg friend to meet with and have support since I am finding so little from my family and friends?
