Favorite Vegan Junkfood forum

Hey! I was just wondering what everyone's favorite vegan junk foods are. I wanna know the down and dirty of everyone's trashy food downfall. Let me first start by giving mine. I love vegan veggie burgers with homemade french fries followed up with something chocolatey. Oh even on the days when I am trying to be my healthiest I can't resist the temptation of chocolate. Mmmmmmm!!!!

I'm also quite obsessed with french fries.....the frozen kind you bake.....with Veganaise mixed with sriracha instead of ketchup....
Or just anything made with Veganaise.....its weird because I used to hate mayonaise with a passion....
I don't really keep any other junk food in the house.....I can't be trusted....

I love vegenaise also. This sounds gross also but I even like it on pizza. As for  the siracha (sp) sauce on everything!! I put a dash in all my bbq sauces and even when I am making my homemade veggie burgers. MMMMM!!! Gosh now I am getting hungry!

i try to not buy too much junk, unless im using it to put into something im baking.  like oreo cookie cookies.. so baking my own stuff is my downfall.. and the dough..  but i usually only bake if im taking it to someone or for a potluck.

tortilla chips, chocolate chips, anything in chip form really..

but again i refuse to buy tortilla chips unless it's for a party & then i just cross my fingers that they all get eaten so they arent staring at me.

Swedish fish are a huge delight. I love to pig out on candy when I am having a movie fest. I try not to pig out to often on the stuff though. I really tend to wear the stuff which kind of kills the joy.

there are vegan jelly beans at my local bulk food store, which are sooooo delicious and addictive. Literally...addictive. :/ I also like cherry blasters and skittles. Also, edamame doesn't really count as junk food, but it almost seems like it sometimes...I eat those buggers like fries! mmm

Mmmmmmmmm!!!! I could not agree more. Like I said in the first post... I can't resist the temptation of chocolate. In fact yesterday I made Raspberry Dark Chocolate muffins that are to die for!!!! I could go on and on about chocolate!!!

I'm not sure if these count as junkfood b/c I cook them weird but I recently made Easy, Yummy and Quick Pizza Crust http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=5701.0 but I used whole wheat flour and apple sauce instead of oil and on the rare occasion I make fries, I simply cut up some potatoes and toss them in the oven maybe w/some spices but no oil... not sure if thats junk or not.  Also I like boca burgers and litelife smartdog protein links and gimme lean sausage.  Is that stuff junk???  I don't know, anyone think it is?

wayne - if that is the worst of your junk food, you're doing just fine.  go bake some cookies or something though.

I eat the spicy chickpea snack - and consider that junk - but only when I eat 2 cans worth in one day.

Hahaha (I don't like putting lol).  Thanks for the confidence boost ppc... now I can enjoy those things more often w/o feeling guilty!  And I'll try to make some sweets sometime soon!

Baked potatoes with hummus and hot sauce

Please tell me the hummus and hot sauce are the junk b/c I eat plain baked potatoes all the time... so if they are junk I'm in trouble.

Chips and salsa
Potato chips
(I really can't be trusted around chips.  Hence I don't buy them often).
Nuts, especially peanuts (not too junky, but I eat tons of them and there's often a lot of salt)
Crackers and whatever (hummus or any other kind of dip, olives, pickled chilies, etc)

I'm not a huge fan of plain chocolate, chocolate chips, candy bars etc, but I love chocolate baked goods like brownies or cookies.  Actually I love baked goods in general.  I make/eat a lot of brownies, muffins and oatmeal cookies.

mmmmm I found the same jelly beans at easter and they were addicting! I thought skittles had gelatin. Except the chocolate ones?

l2a, I think skittles have recently become vegan in north america! There was talk of it on the boards a couple weeks ago. I know the UK ones already had no gelatin though.
