Hi Everybody! I want to thank you all again for your support, advice, and stories. Kitty is doing well this morning, but she definitely does need a name. Here are some pictures I took of her, I think she's a beautiful old girl. Please post your name recommendations and we can take a vote!

I have always wanted to name a cat Ewig. It is German. Here are some translations.
(I was an exchange student, and I thought it sounded pretty, and I liked what it meant. I know German isn't thought of as a pretty language! Anyway, I always had to share the naming of the cats, and was always overrided.)

I love the name Isabella, which is the first name I thought of when I saw your baby's precious face, but I also love Reese like so many others. She's so lucky to have found such a loving mom!
How about Chewy, after Chewbacca? She kinda reminds me of him a little bit! :>

My in-laws have a dog named Chewbacca, and call him Chewy. ;)

Why don't you go through and pick your favorite 5 and then set up a poll for a day or two! Then we can all have a vote and kitty's new name :)

here is the story first.. my ex boyfriend had a cat.. she was a rescue from people who thought it was funny to grab her head and shake it when she was a kitten.. needless to say she HATED human hands more than anything and was like the most vicious cat on earth.. i wear fake fur coats all the time (well not here in dominica, but when i lived back home in LA) and i would pick her up wearing my coat with my hands protected from kitty claws inside.. she would growl and make some funny noises, but i just kept holding her and petting her with my furry coat hands and she would eventually stop trying to scratch me and settle down and start purring.. after about a year or two of this she became WAY more friendly.. she stopping lunging and trying to scratch people as they walked past her and would even let you touch her (not on the head) and pet her on her back.. poor kitty just died a couple months ago, but she was at the ripe old age of 22 i think :)..
anyways.. her name was spock.. you should name your kitty spock, cuz they look almost exactly the same.. spock was also a tortie, but a little bit more orange..

and since I had such a great idea you should name her after me "Capture" or the name I suggested "Bella"! :-D
Reese, because she looks like a Reese's peanut butter cup. ;)b
She does remind me of a Reese's Peanut Butter cup! I like Reese, or Reesa if the cat is female.
