Clipping dog's nails

The last time Molly (now 10 months old) had her nails trimmed at the vet they cut one of them too short & made her bleed. Now I can't get anywhere near her with the clippers. I try shutting her in a room with just me and talking in a calm voice, but as soon as I either touch her paw or she sees the clippers she FREAKS OUT. Like if I manage to tackle and restrain her, she growls & nips at me. I feel so bad, like I'm torturing her because she is scared, but I can only manage to get 2-3 nails at a time before I quit. And it stresses me out. So her nails are REALLY long. What can I do to calm her down?
- It's not me- I never have any trouble with Dini's nails
I googled "rescue remedy flower essences" Looks pretty good, I'll give it a try- Thanks!
i am too scared to trim my dogs nails, so i file them down with a regular nail file. polka actually enjoys it! this was suggested to me by my vet because her cuticles or whatever theyre called are a bit long.

Oooh I must do this! Logan and I both have a fear of me cutting his nails. (The vet usually does it). Do you simply use the disposable cardboard ones or a metal file?

i use a disposable one just because thats what i had around, but i bet a metal one would go a lot quicker.

Thanks! I'll see what I have around and try out your great idea! ;)b
They make non-metal non-disposable nail files especially made for fake nails. It's much rougher than a regular file, and it reallllllly speeds up the process. Yay for doggie manicures!!
That is a great idea with the files - I will need to give that a try. I will not cut our dogs' nail - I have cut one too short before and made her bleed. After that, I had to flip her on her back and hold her there while my husband cut them because she wouldn't come near us when we had the clippers. That will make life SOO much easier and I know it will make my puppies more comfortable ... THANKS!

perhaps she would be ok with filing. thanks for all the tips everyone!
I love this dog, but she drives me crazy! Dini was always so easy!!!
