Vegetarianism and the "enviorment"

The university I work for opened up a new building and I got a brand new office in that brand new building.  I decided to find a few posters with the veg*n message and put them up in new office.  I went to cafepress.com and found a "Go Vegetarian" poster that looked fine in the small picture.  I got the poster and discovered that vegetarianism is good for the "enviorment".  >:(  Big misspelled word staring me in the face.  Of course, I can't put the poster up because it would make all veg*ns look stupid.  I contacted customer service at cafepress and explained the misspelling and asked for my money back. The poster was expensive for its size.  We'll see if I get a refund.  I so wanted to promote vegetarianism with a snazzy display of small posters!

First, it's so good to see you back T!  I've missed your posts!

That sucks about the poster.  You should be able to get your money back...or at least an exchange for something that's spelled CORRECTLY.  Geez.  That's strange.  It must have just been one of those things that "got through."  I've have many good experiences with cafepress, so hopefully it was just "one of those things" and you will get refunded/exchanged.

Props for your good intentions.  ;)

Yeah, I see no reason why they wouldn't give you a refund.  That's absurd.

Your office will look awesome with your new, properly spelled posters!  :)

Just tell people that veg*ns are so cool they don't need to spell things correctly. ;D That does suck. I say ask for a refund. It's worth a shot - the worst they can do is say no.

I just received an email from cafepress.  They are refunding my credit card charge and they don't want the poster to be sent back.  I wonder if they'll fix the posters.  If you look at a large picture of the poster, you can see the misspelling.  I haven't been able to find another poster that gets across the "Go Vegetarian" theme with good facts.  If anyone has come across something, please let me know.  I may try to make my own.  There's printer in the work room at the univ. that can print really big text on really big paper that you can pay to use.

yeah, cafepress wont even bother with returns. i got a free teeshirt out of the deal once, granted it looks horrible on me and ill prob never wear it in public...so its collecting dust. meh.

is there a separate way of contacting them to complain about the spelling?

Use it as a seat cover in your car if you have bucket seats. Or cut it up as dusting cloths...it might as well "collect dust" in a useful way! :)
