got the roomate (i rarely see him eat anything other than dairy and meat 95% of the time) to try a Silken tofu, Peanut Butter, and Banana shake tonight
he was a fan
he'll be knee deep in bean curd and veggie burgers in months!
Great! Best thing you can do is share some of the great tasting food we veggies eat. Just keep doing that everytime you make something really tasty and have some extras. I think so many non-veggies think we eat nothing but salads and carrot sticks. I think if more of the "others" saw some of the recipes on our site and actually tasted how great vegan food is, more would be willing to take the "plunge" to this side. Good luck on your conversion....
Whenever I invite a non-veggie over for dinner and cook something good off VegWeb, I always print out the recipe. If they love it, I give them the printout and it has the website on. And I always say, "If you see "yabbitgirl"--that's me." More than one of my friends is surfing as a consequence of tasting y'alls' good food!
Haha, I'm doing the same thing! Last night a hard core meat eater friend of mine, who is always talking about his culture's Ukranian meat dishes, agreed to come with me to a vegan (raw too!) restaurant. Is he in for a surprise!

Good deal! I posted on another thread that I got my meat eating boyfriend to try one of my homemade vegan soups. He LOVED it. So it's possible. Keep up the good work.
So I think that all single vegetarians and vegans should look for good people for Significant Others and love them well, convert them to veganism. and that's how we'll save the world! ;D

That's what I did and now I have a vegan husband ;D Makes life very happy. Plus, he's since converted more than one friend who has converted their partner in turn... yup, one person at a time!
