These are so fun!!! CW- that is awesome, and US- that is exciting!!!

I met Taj at an old dance club in Kauai thats (sadly) not there anymore.  But it was the funnest night ever, and kinda weird.  My friend and I had been waiting tables at one of the resturants we worked at then wanted to go dancing. She (being always a little too nice), told 2 tourist guys, looking for the cool "local" thing to do, we would give them a ride THERE (this was made very clear to them, as they were not our kinda guys at all).

Once we got there, and proceeded to drink way too much they, (the 2 tourist guys), acted like we were "with" them, dancing too close, hanging around us way too much, it totally looked like they were our dorky-tourist boyfriends, making us their dorky-tourist girlfriends.

My friend saw Taj, (tall, dreads, super good-looking) and told me to check him out because he was so hot (she meant for me, shes not a dready-kind of girl). I swear he caught my eye a few times, but we just could not shake these weird guys.  Finally, right as the club was closing he came right over (in front of the guys), and asked if that was my boyfriend, I told him "no way" (right in from of the guy) and Taj got my number and invited us to a warehouse after party. 

The guys STILL would not take the hint, and followed us to this other party, we got really drunk, and at one point they took our keys and tried to make us leave (not in a scarey way, just annoying), I stole the keys back, and made Taj drive them back to the hotel (as we were drinking)...with me cuddling up to Taj in the front seat the whole time...

Heres the kicker, once he dropped them off, the guy who liked me came to my window and asked for my number, and even acted like he was going to try and kiss me..

After all of that Taj thought we were kinda weird, but still liked me and we've been together since then.  (He moved back to minnesota with me when we had our daughter, now 3, for me to finish graduate school...if that isn't love, I don't know what is!)

I love everyone's stories!  And VH, the "smellyassmcgee" comment totally cracked me up.

Mine is another "lived together" story:
I studied abroad in Australia for the a year ('02-'03), and lived in apartment-style on-campus housing (units with 5-10 bedrooms and a shared kitchen, living/dining area, and bathroom).  Because of the opposite seasons, I lived in one unit my first semester, moved out and had summer break in the middle, and moved into another unit for my 2nd semester.  I had come back from Adelaide by train, which was like a 26 hour trip, so I was wearing glasses (I normally wear contacts), no makeup, hair all over the place, sweaty, smelly (to this day if I smell something that reminds me of the cross-country trains I feel a bit sick), and I walked into my new unit and DH was standing there.  We had a little chat and discovered we had a mutual friend, then I made a complete idiot of myself trying to unlock the wrong room until DH pointed out that someone already lived there, so I figured out which was the right room and then went for a shower.  When I came out, wearing nothing but a towel, DH and our mutual friend were right there having a conversation by the laundry sink. ??? (It was later confirmed that they were waiting there to perv on me).  Anyway, DH and I quickly became friends and got up to all kinds of shenanigans all semester, and became increasingly flirty, then 11 days before I was supposed to go back to the USA he admitted that he wanted to get together but that it was probably too late.  I said there was still time.  After that 11 days we did the long distance thing for ~6 months, then he came to study abroad at my university in the USA for a semester, then we were long distance again for almost a year and a half until I finally moved to Australia in November 2005.

I met my s/o at a bar...cliche right?! The funny thing is he hates bars! Even funnier is that he told me he wasn't looking for a girlfriend, that he had the next 4 years of his life planned out etc etc etc Needless to say we've been together for 2 1/2 years and have a daughter! So much for the planning right?!
