Do Kinoki foot pads work?

I got some of these Kinoki foot pads for christmas that are supposed to draw out toxins from your body. Does anybody have any experience with these? I want to know if they work. I'm going to use them regardless but I'd like some feed back.

P.S. sorry if this has already been posted in the past but I don't want to go through every thread to see.

I read about these... somewhere. A magazine or something. The sweat/heat of your feet causes a chemical reaction with the stuff on the pads causing them to change colors. It otherwise does nothing.

If that's the case, which it probably is, I wonder how it starts to lighten up over time.

Maybe your foot adjusts to being covered every night and starts to perspire less?

Or the oils or whatever they put on it to make it change begin to evaporate. Less oil, less reaction with your body heat/sweat. My nephew-the-physicist calls it "oxidation followed by precipitation."

But the poor grammar may indicate they don't know what they're talking about.
