I hate going without a belt. Where do you all buy your belts? I always just browse in department stores while I am clothes shopping but nearly every one is leather. I don't even like going through and touching them all to check the materials. It grosses me out and makes me sad to think of all those carcasses. :'(
I don't want a canvas belt, a fabric belt, or a colored one. Just a plain, skinny black one that isn't overly shiny. Ideas?
check payless - before the holidays i saw black and brown ones - non shiny, there for around 7-10 bucks i think.. hurry, go cus they might not have em all the time!
Did you not want one from online? I found this one that seems to meet your criteria. It's reversible for black and brown. I don't wear belts, but I have purchased from Alt. Outfitters before, and it was completely positive.

Mooshoes?
I wear a black nylon type camp belt most of the time.
But I think you would look smashing in some suspenders!

a job well done and hair to match!
I just bought some suspenders. They work wonderfully.
i found a black faux belt at target.
but it wore pretty fast.
That's where I shopped yesterday. I think I might have bought that same one in the past. It DID wear quickly! This time, however, Target didn't have any that were wearable or attractive. Lame.
I'll look at what you all suggested! I hope to get one in person rather than online just because I'd hate to have it not fit right. So we'll see.
I can never find a belt that fits & is vegan. I just pull my pants up a lot and wear attractive lingerie. If you find something great, do share!
Yahright? No granny panties!
I hate to be flashing my cutie thongs to my students though. Ya know. And having my pants sag makes my legs look even more stubby than they are. Heehee.
Kolh's always comes through on a belt for me. Though you do have to paw through the offerings.
Somehow my brain just could not make the leap as to why someone linked a pic of a homemade Leelou outfit from the Fifth Element. No fair linking things from my favorite movie! You confuse me. hahah

Oooh good call. I always like an excuse to go to Kohl's.
I really hate shopping in big box stores
KMK
If you are looking for a decent canvas belt I found one at K Mart it was probably like $6
Works good.
Fake leather belts are no good unless you spend dollars for one.
I have a Perry Ellis fake leather that has lasted me a few years now.
Have to give it away now to big for me.
Thrift shops are another place to search for a belt.
Pangea has a bunch. http://www.veganstore.com/vegan-belts.html

My wonderful little sister crochets and she has made me a few belts I really like. There are also these hemp belts that I REALLY want. Here is a link to one of them : http://www.hemp-sisters.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=7725
I don't know if any of those are your kind of style, but I just thought I'd throw those suggestions out there:)
Had to get another belt the other day.
Really just wanted another color.
Picked up mine at K-Mart nice canvas.
Then I see the Berryray post and must say the hemp belts on that site are a good price
considering this canvas slave labor belt cost me about $10
Love hemp nice and soft. Surprisingly durable. Have a hemp wallet I love.
