Was holding out-but can't any longer!! NVR (men be warned, girlie stuff inside)

So yeah, this past week I've been having really bad period pains, reminiscent of my last miscarriage, with very little blood....I think my body isn't liking the Mirena? I don't know, but with being doubled over in pain, and only having minor spotting is troubling me. I know I'm not/wasn't pregnant....I took a test just before the bleeding started b/c I was three weeks late....my practitioner and I just chalked it up to the hormones in the IUD. Now, I was supposed to go and see her today, but she called me up this morning asking to reschedule....so I scheduled an appt for tomorrow....and I just got an email asking if she could push it 'till thursday or friday!!! I normally see her weekly anyways, so it's not unusual for me to be flexible....but right now...I'm hurting!! Plus!! My boy who left in Feb. to help family has returned!!! And now after every time we've been intimate, I start spotting again w/ minor pains.... I know this isn't normal.

AND as some of you may recall from awhile back, my ex's baby was born on Saturday!! Both mom and baby are well. He's six weeks early, but everything seems to be OK. I got the call from my ex last night. This is my second "niece/nephew" born on a Memorial Day weekend!!! (Maybe starting a trend?)

Which is just throwing my mind in a complete f*cked up state, with me flashing back to the miscarriage and now seeing the baby pictures in my email box..... So yeah, I've been holding back all this stuff from folks, but after the baby announcement, I've found it near impossible.

*hugs*

I don't have any awesome advice, but hugs count for something, right?  :-\

Oh gosh, hugs from me too.  Do call your doctor back and see if they can see you earlier; although it's rare, things can go wrong with the IUD and you need to have peace of mind.  Trust me, when we had a moment of, ahem, deep connection when I had my copper-T and was in Peru without much faith in the medical institutions available to me, I had little peace of mind for weeks... and if nothing else, that ruins intimate time.  So call the doc back and tell her you are feeling alarmed and see if she can sneak you in early.

That sounds crazy stressful! Yes--I agree with the others--go to the doctor asap--they will understand and it's better to go now before it gets worse!!!!

I hope you can relax a little before you get an appt. We're all here for you!!!!

Lots and lots of BIG hugs for you! I'm so sorry for your loss and having to see baby pics. I do know what that feels like. I know we don't know each other, but I'm here if you need a shoulder. I hope you feel better soon and that your doc is able to squeak you in.

For once in a way, make a fuss. Put your foot down. Throw a wobbly if you have to. (oh sorry, that means--have a hissy fit.) Tell her you're scared. Insist. She probably knows you wouldn't if it weren't important. It is.

Were you able to get in to see your doctor earlier?

Yes, she's squeezing me in today, I told her what's I've been feeling and she then had no problem with fitting me into her schedule....Though I have a feeling she's gonna recommend I go see an actual Dr...... She's a Chinese Medicine practitioner and a Midwife.....but she may feel it necessary to have me checked out by a Western Dr.....I'm really hoping that's not the case, but we'll see!!!

Okay....well, I'm now going to go to the clinic tomorrow morning for a "walk-in" appt....I couldn't sleep at all last night, and today, it didn't get any better, nor did the flow change....(which is what *should* have happened if the pain persisted after my acupuncture treatment yesterday)...so yeah, good news, I don't think it is PID....Now I just don't know what it is!!! PLEASE keep your fingers crossed that I'm not going to have a long wait!!!

*sigh* well, I was seen by the clinic's new clinician (which means she's not familiar at all with my body's eccentricities), and she's convinced that it's not my IUD that's' causing the pain, also convinced that since I have pain in the upper abdominal area as well, that it has nothing to do w/ my reproductive system whatsoever....But I got tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia *just in case*. So I guess the good news: "Nothing's wrong with me!" the bad news: "Nothing's wrong with me!"

where in the abdominal area?

Mainly left side, alternating between the area just below the ribcage and the area just above the pelvic bone....but also same "clenching/vice-like" cramping on the right, although it doesn't occur as often/as severe

Did they test for appendicitis?  If not push in on the area, if it hurts worse on the release than on the push in, then go back in asap!

Also have they tested for endometriosis.  As that can be all over your abdomen but generating from your uterus.  Also if you are bleeding randomly it could be indicative of a reproductive problem not just upper abdomen.

Otherwise it all just sounds miserable.  *hugs*  Feel better.

There's no fever to go w/ the appendicitis....and it hurts more on the push anyways.... Thanks everyone.

Are you having normal bowel movements??

with the exception of the day before yesterday, yes....that day though, I was up 'till 3 or 4 am sitting on the toilet with "water" coming out....

Eek. This sounds serious. Has your doc considered gallstones?

no, there's no burning/pain during urination or bowel movements....

Gallstones wouldn't give you pain/burning during urination, a bladder infection would. Gallstones typically present w/ pain in the right upper quadrant, w/ pain that normally radiates to the right shoulder, and you might experience back spasms as well. The reason I asked about the BM's was because I wanted to see if you were constipated, but it sounds like quite the opposite, w/ the "water". Does anything make the pain worse, or make it better? Any positions?
