These scientists want to create new "Franken-Foods" to help battle obesity?! How about just getting people to stop eating junk, eating too much of the junk.... and get this one...exercise! No, better to invent....MORE JUNK!

How ridiculous! :o
??? Silly me... I thought we already had healthy food options.
The mind bloody well boggles!!! :o
And how idiotic of the person giving the interview to talk about "concern" for people's health and then blurt out that these innovations (sick) "have a higher margin than a tomato or a bottle of milk."
Make that money! >:(
Heaven forbid that we should teach people Restraint, and Sense in their food choices!!! ???
Makes me tired just to think about it. People will do almost anything to avoid changing how they eat.
A healthy balanced diet and exercise seem such a "given." Of course, no one (not even us vegwebbers) agrees on just what a healthy diet entails. ;) Still, I'd rather eat "real" food than something that has been fabricated. I'm sure these new "foods" have to be full of chemicals.
We already have foods that prevent obesity. They are called 'veggies.'
I know! I've never eaten anything more filling than meal chocked full of fiber---and pretty much everything vegan has fiber. Even soy milk! lmao
(I joked with my mom once that I probably eat more fiber in a day than she eats in a week)

my thoughts exactly!
Yeah but they can't get a "patent" on broccoli or spinach and make a huge profit :P! Better health through science and chemicals!
(put away the fritos and your coke, just eat a carrot, shut off the TV, and take a long walk)!
...can I patent that invention?..... ;)
I heard triglycerides affect cholesterol levels more than eating foods containing cholesterol. Does anyone know if this is true?
