To me fall/winter means soup, and TEA. goodness I drink a lot of tea. What are people's favorites? (either flavors/brands?)

licorice mint
Mint is my favorite, although I also like just plain green tea. I stick to mostly green teas. My standbys are:
Yogi Green Tea Energy
Numi Gunpowder Green Tea
Choice Moroccan Mint
I also had some green tea at the Greater Boston Buddhist Cultural Center's restaurant that was AMAZING. I keep meaning to go back and ask where they get it!
Bliss was when it rained. Tea, books and rain--magic.
YES! So much of what makes drinking tea so special is the ritual of preparing it! I love waiting for the pot to boil, taking it off the stove, and pouring it into my waiting mug. So much better than throwing a cup of water in the microwave (though I will do that on occasion if I'm in a rush & want to take my tea with me). :) And rainy days were definitely meant for tea!
I'm so ghetto when it comes to making tea...Usually it's microwaved, sometimes in a pot on the stove....I hope to get down with the whole ritual thing if/when I get my tea kettle for Christmas!
Definitely agree, though, best thing ever is to curl up in the corner of my sofa on a cold Bostonian winter day, hands wrapped around a steaming mug of tea, getting kitty cuddles from my boys! ;D ;D
I haven't seen my favorite on here.
Rose Melange
Peppermint, rose, and lavender mixed with white tea and comes in an organic variety. It is like drinking liquid potpourri. One of the few teas I'll drink without anything added to it (which says a lot). It is the most perfect soothing, comforting, delicious tea I've found.
I make loose leaf tea only now. I like to make it on the stove as well. There's just something to it.
I also like Rooibos red tea for something darker. I prefer the Vanilla flavored one. It is naturally caffeine free and has a lot of natural antioxidants like green tea, but it tastes closer to black tea.

Wow! Those both sound amazing! I want to look for the Rose Melange next time I'm at the co-op! :D And I always see Rooibos in the tea aisle, but I am afraid to buy it, because I've never heard anyone talk about it, so I don't know what to expect! But I just might have to buy that, too... As if I don't already have 25 boxes of tea sitting in the cupboard... ::)
I give rooibos (said roy-boss) tea to visitors who don't eat healthy and only one has ever complained, and that was for the vanilla in it. It it great hot or cold. I didn't care for the Cederburg variety each of the times I got it. Can't remember why. Rose melange I prefer hot, but it tastes good ice cold with a touch more peppermint to it as well.
I know what you mean about the growing collection! I have far too many and still have to force myself to not even enter that aisle when I go to the store, otherwise I come home with many more. ;D
Sweet Thai Delight (Yogi Tea, decaf) : coconut, rooibus leaf, and cinnamon.

That sounds divine Caitlyn!

Rooibos is good, but only if that's what you're expecting. As a hardline tea drinker, it reminds me of Douglas' Adams Nutrimatic drink--something that is almost exactly not like tea! ;D If I know that's what's coming, it's fine. But it is NOT a satisfactory substitute when what you want is Camellia sinensis! ;)
I wish we had all the wonderful teas here you have there. We don't. There are bulk-tea places here but they charge THE EARTH. I'll just have to be glad I can find PG Tips at the Asian grocery.
I remember once springing a surprise visit on daughter no. 1 at university when I thought she was sounding a little low and could do with a spot of family-ing. In her cupboard in the flat I found around 20 different boxes of tea but no food! Went on a major supermarket run with her, filled cupboard, fridge and freezer and yes, bought even more tea as well! It must be genetic
