Veg Food at a Baseball Game

My parents are taking my husband and I to a Phillies game soon. (Yes, I know the Phillies aren't the best team, but in Philly, we love our teams anyway!) I'm concerned with what I can eat. I don't need vegan food, since I'm ovo-lacto, but I know with philly cheesesteaks and the pre-requisite ball park dogs, I'll have no vegetable choices. Any suggestions of food to pack (I think this is allowed at the stadium) that doesn't take much to carry (since I'll be taking the train and subway) and will stay nice and fresh for the trip? thanks!

Bring some veggie dogs in buns, cracker jax (I am pretty sure I saw Vegan Lunch Box say these were vegan, but double check) and WATER!  Have fun!

if you're ovo-lacto,  you shouldn't have any problem.  every stadium i've been to always has ballpark nachos, pretzels, sunflower/ pumpkin seeds, popcorn... not exactly the best meal plan, but you won't go hungry.
if you want something more satisfying,  you might want to try a fake chick'n patty sandwich.  you can buy the chick'n or make one of the ones off this site.  i usually put it with deli mustard, some lettuce, a squeeze of lemon, and a slice of tomato.  i don't know about it staying "nice and fresh", but it holds up fairly well, is satisfying, and easy to carry, and to be honest, i don't know that anything is "nice and fresh" in the stadium, so you can chalk that up as part of the experience.  if you have the room, grapes are a nice addition, as they give you something to munch on through 9 innings that's not too salty or sweet.
and i definitely second the water.  out here, we can't bring any beverages into the ballpark, so you might want to check ahead.  if you can't bring water, bring cash, cuz those puppies are $3.50 per tiny bottle!

Yummy! Nachos, Popcorn. All the horrible things! Maybe I'll plan on getting one of those things and just packing some fruit. Oh, how I wish that cheese steaks were not mad of meat!

Oooooo!  I go to lots and lots of baseball games and I usually just stash an apple or a granola bar in my purse.  I may get some fries, but I'm really there for the beer  ;D

Sorry 'bout your Phils so far...  :P
