This is where people can share memories, stories, and pictures of LucidAnne.
Thank you for gracing us with your presence, Tess. You will be sorely missed.

I've been reading through everyone's memories since I heard about Tess, but felt strange posting myself since I felt like I didn't know her well enough to "warrant" it. However, even if our one-on-one conversations were limited, I've found her on these boards to be as a bright, supportive, funny presence with a heart of gold. The number of VegWebbers who have been away from the boards and came back to grieve/share their condolences speaks volumes about her impact on the community. She will be missed.
Trina, is there a particular organization to which donations could be made? Someone mentioned their local animal shelter above, but I didn't know if your family had something specific in mind. I've had several friends who have suffered incredible losses this year, and I've found that making a donation to a cause close to their loved ones' hearts really did give me a chance to honor them in some small way.

I've been readig through old posts and threads over the past few days and Tess had such a presence in all of them. Her humor, her sincerity, her caring nature came through in all of them. I didn't know her IRL, but I always imagined her having an amazing laugh and such a warm presence. I am so glad that so many of you did get to meet her in person and experience this first-hand.
I will miss her tremendously but it has made me realize what a home VW has been - and is to me - even if I haven't been active on here for a while. It has also made me realize what I missed while I was away - the friendships made, the kindness of others, the overall feeling of love that I haven't experienced in some of my real-life situations.
In a strange way, the loss of Tess, which is incredibly sad (and I still can't really think about without getting teary-eyed), has brought me back to VW.
So, Tess, I thank you for your friendship and for making me realize what is important in my life. Know that I will miss you tremendously. Many blessings and I, too, look forward to seeing you again.
well said. this is how i feel too. a part of me still doesn't believe it, because i think we naturally have a hard time accepting when people die (especially young).... rest in peace tess <3

Trina posted this on Tess's facebook... If anyone wants to do donations, you can donate to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or any animal rescue foundation of your choice. We all will miss her. Say a prayer and have a drink for Tess!

My thoughts and prayers are with Tess and her family.
Through the thoughtful words, lyrics and letters for Tess, I am reminded of the compassion that unites us in our daily living and eating and am so glad I joined the VegWeb community.
Love and blessings to Tess and all here.

I was thinking about Tess today too. Tess would love the craziness and fun times that we have been having on here lately. I wish she was here. She would say something hilarious using about two words and an emoticon right about now.

Vegansapien told me about LA, and I wanted to mention what a sweetie she was. She helped me test recipes for my cookbook, and I have her listed under my acknowledgements ("In Gratitude") in my book. We always had a little joke because we were both "Tess." I so enjoyed her warm spirit and beautiful attitude. My heart goes out to her friends and family...

Idea: Since VegNews is now connected to VegWeb, maybe they could put a tribute to Tess in an upcoming issue? Just a small tribute would be nice, and could maybe feature one of her recipes? It could be a good way to get the word out about VegWeb too. I just thought that would be really nice since LA was such a big part of this community and touched so many people.
