We did our big celebration for lunch. And anyway the Down Under Contingent is already well into 2011.
Happy New Year to all my VW tribe.
May this be the year.
Love to all, YG
yay!! new beginnings!
Happy New Year all!
My favorite holiday -not that I intend to do anything special & I'll probably be asleep by 10, but I'm a big fan. Woo-hoo ...let's go 2011...countdown to the apocalypse!
Happy New Year everyone!

Wait we're in some weird time warp!
Its new years in some locations but not others..
Eric, hold on a rootin tootin minute!
We can share the same moment at different 'times'.
Time is your relationship to your position on earth in relation to the sun.
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope it's bright, beautiful and filled with blessings in abundance.
Happy New Year everyone!!
Today is especially special for me because I'm also celebrating my 1 year anniversary of moving to Berlin and living with my boyfriend :)
And it's so crazy going from somewhere where fireworks are illegal to living in a place where fireworks go off all day outside the window. I was cooking dinner and the flash and bang from the firework made me scared for a moment that something in my kitchen exploded. And now all the windows are rattling. Gah! What fun!
eta: okay, we just realized that the fireworks are so loud because our neighbors above us are throwing them out the window so they are exploding right in front of our window. they are super impressed with their fireworks too, doing lots of ooohing and aaahing.
Happy New Year's Eve and Day (depending where in the world you are)!! Is anyone starting out the year with any resolutions??
to scale down on my belongings.
I really like new years. Feels like a fresh start. :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
2010 was an overwhelming year for me. A wild ride... good and bad.
For 2011 I hope to learn to be a better person. I'm annoying to everybody, including myself. I really want to find inner peace.
I also hope to finally get the tattoo I've desired for years, lose weight, cook more, have more fun ... and get rich somehow so I can leave Australia to build a castle on a hill in Canada and live there happily ever after.
Okay, maybe that last one is asking too much. ;)
I feel like I haven't talked to anyone in a year! :D
As I look back, 2010 was a good year. I came a long way this year and I'm not looking to stop until I get to where I'm supposed to be. I've got great things waiting for me, I just have to make the right decisions and follow the right roads and have the courage to find them.
I'm not the same as I was at the beginning of 2010 or 2009 and so on. I'm happier. My mind is clearer and my world is more centered and balanced. I've got a lot of work to do but I'm not tired and I'm ready to take things on by the horns.
I've made a lot of great connections this year and I hope they continue. I wish no harm or foul on anyone from my past or my present..the future is to be determined. My table is always open because everyone has something to bring to the table.
All I can do is continue to be honest, genuine, sincere, accepting, and encouraging. I think that's all we can do sometimes. We're all in this together. Sometimes that sucks and sometimes that can be very beneficial. There's too much pushing and shoving and negativity in our world. Let's focus on being a positive change in our world. The possibilities for positive change really do make me smile.

hey, what happened...I definitely posted in this thread, but my comments aren't here....my guess is something to do with my poorly laptop.
Anyway....Happy New Year to everyone on VW. Everyone on here is very special to me and I really hope that 2011 is a wonderful year to you all.
My main resolution this year is to blog more and to take more photos!!
A side resolution is to use my cookbooks more.
eta: when I say use my cook books, I mean to make recipes from, not as...doorstops/ornaments/paperweights
A side resolution is to use my cookbooks more.
That's my perennial resolution. ;)
I am currently eating a grapefruit as part of my resolution to eat more fruit.
My other one is to spend a little time each week whittling down the junk that's accumulated in my house.
Happy New Year everybody!
Happy new year, all! 2010 has been stressful at times but generally good to me. I think I've made some good changes over the past year and I've definitely achieved a lot of what I set out to do and more besides :)
The things I'd like to work on more this year:
- Use my cookbooks more (a la Shell!)
- Dedicate an hour a day to some kind of fitness!
- Spend at least 30 mins working on my knitting skills!
- Try to be more patient with others and myself!
yay!! new beginnings!
word... lets do this!
happy new years everyone you guys are all so awesome <3
You don't have to come up with a resolution if you don't wanna. I don't because it tends to set me up to fail. Just enjoy the time.
