Avatar Help--The Thank you Edition! *Jessesmum!!!!*

I'm addressing this to anyone that can figure out what happend to my pic! I tried to upload a new avatar the other day *see "Capture's Halloween"* and I kept getting a "Fatal Error" message when trying to switch over. Now I have no pic at all! What do I do to correct this problem? When I go to "edit my profile" my orginal pic is still there loaded as my avatar--but it's not showing up :'( I really have tried very hard to correct the problem on my own--but with no sucess!
Can anyone help? Please?

But I was really looking forward to the severed head avatar.
I'm happy to see your pretty face back in any form. Even when you were posting without your avatar, I felt like you weren't here and I missed you. I'd say welcome back but you haven't been away. :D
I was looking forward to the severed head avatar too. :'( but I was getting used to seeing the red X. Are you still going to try to put it up there?
I know! I really wanted to get the severed head up too--but i have tried repeatedly and I keep getting a fatal error message when I try to up load--I have resized, changed it's IMG code, uploaded it to photobucket--everything--it will just not post! Maybe I'll try to fanagle it a little more later today, but that darn pic just does not want to go up :'(

OMG! You are like the millionith peson to tell me that! I'm starting to think magenta is my color! I would keep it this way--but it fades QUICK! It's already a pinky/brown compared to the deep magenta/plum it was just 2 weeks ago...oh well--I was think about possibly doing it bubble gum pink after I get the blond bak though! Thought it would be fun too *and probably more likely to wash out faster too!*
