Stockton California: Vegan options?

There a few places I go that I know have at least vegetarian options such as Chilies, but I want to go vegan as soon as I can and if I'm going to have a social life I'd like to know if there are any places out there in Stockton that I can eat without having my non-vegan friends feel awkward as they eat but I don't. :(
Any ideas?
Stockton isn't exactly a haven for veg*n food, unfortunately. I don't think there's even a vegetarian restaurant out there. You can try things like BJs Brewery (they have pasta w/ marinara and veggie burgers), but I'm not sure if either are vegan. You could email them to ask. Other than that, you're going to have to do your homework!
When I'm traveling, I look for vegan/vegetarian meetup groups on meetup.com and message an organizer from the group to ask for restaurant recommendations.

I'm in Stockton to help a friend move. I think they're planning to eat out the whole time. I'll report back. I think for a place like this, it's more about finding a restaurant where people understand what vegan means and will respect the limits.

You can ask about Chilie's black bean burger, I have no idea if it's vegan, I haven't been there in a long time. And thank you.

I asked the waitperson if the had spinach. They did, so I ordered a plate of plain spinach leaves. During the ordering process we discussed my being vegan when we got to salad dressing options (if the person I'm talking to knows about veganism they can help me with the order - she didn't), so she knew that I don't eat meat, eggs, dairy or honey. She brought the spinach leaves and honey mustard dressing. When I questioned the dressing she told me was vinegar dressing. Um, no. So she brought me a bottle of balsamic vinegar. Um, yes. THEN, I bit into a bacon bit. Upon further examination, it looks like bacon was sprinkled on the top and then someone tried to remove it instead of make a new salad. To top it off, I was charged for a shrimp plate, because the shrimp is served on spinach. If they were going to charge me for main ingredients I wasn't going to get they could have at least offered substitutions, like tomato slices. I'm going to call the restaurant, the corporate headquarters, and Stockton's Chamber of Commerce. I could have had a food allergy or a religious restriction or other ethical/moral (vegan) reasons. If they couldn't accomodate me they needed to tell me that instead of bringing food they know violates my beliefs.
Yeah, I know they don't have any vegan main options, last time I was there I had a cheese quesadilla, and they almost served me one with chicken in it!
I was disappointed that Outback doesn't even have salads! I don't know what they're Bloomin' onion is battered with, I should ask that.....but anyway. Not even vegetarian options at Outback, that aren't the onion...
Fresno is like heaven compared to how dumpy stockton is.
I lived in Fresno. I liked it there. I liked Tower (pre-Blockbuster Video and Starbucks) and Scarab Glass Works classes beat anything I've seen in SoCal. And I don't think we have anything like Christmas Tree Lane down here - yes, a huge waste of electricity, but still really cool to walk. Plus (in comparison to SoCal), everything is in one town. And more racially mixed. I had a circle of five friends and we all were from different nationalities. People don't mix like that in SoCal. I also liked the arts scene. It was small enough to figure out, but groovy enough to enjoy. Another thing I liked was that the Habitat for Humanity chapter there had Women Built houses, where the whole house was built by women, so guys weren't bogarting the power tools.
I have a list of things I don't like about Fresno, too, but I think the overall rep comes from people who only drive through on the 99. That stretch is funky town.
I grew up in fresno. oddly enough, always around highway 99 hahaha. I did like the racial mix of fresno, but i can't stand the overdone strip malls and 4 lane highways, 100+ summers, and lack of employment. Au Lac and New Stars Vegetarian are the only real bright spot. when they lost the Falcons, I knew i couldn't live there any longer. No hockey=bye bye
Fresno is a shithole.
