Know of a veg*n restaurant in your area?? ADD IT TO THE LISTINGS!

Owalkerjillo's post about working at the vegan cafe in Concord, NH reminded me to take a look at vegweb's restaurant listings.
But they look very sparse! :(
If you know of a vegan or veg eatery in your area add it to the listings!!
That way we can all benefit!
If everyone just added one that they knew of, a ton more would be on there!
(I'm assuming, of course, that members can submit listings... hope so!)
I submitted the Thai restaurant in Del Rio and I think that was before I subscribed (just a member). I haven't looked at the listing lately. I suppose I should.
I added a whole bunch before VegWeb went through the major changes a while ago (two years ago??), and they disappeared. I will go and add them again.
Yeah, TinTexas I dunno if that section was working for awhile...
I have no clue if you have to be a subscriber or what to add...
Oh no VegAnna... they disappeared?
CA people specifically... add places! ;)
I will be visiting the US in December and January and must have places to drag my family to all over the state! :)
Thanks! :D
So glad you started this thread Jennifer. A couple months ago there was one started of vegan restaurants in your area and it went on for many pages. I hope everyone that posted to that one adds it to the restaurant listings. I added one for St. Louis MO, it took a couple weeks before it showed up though.
All you San Francisco veggies, add some yummy vegan restaurants! My DH and I are planning on going on a vacation there next year!!! :)
The San Antonio Vegetarian Society has a list of restaurants at http://home.satx.rr.com/savstx/dining.html
I can only in good conscience post restaurants that I've eaten at and thought the food was good. I've never been to California. My DH is talking about going to Phoenix for another visit. There are no listings for Phoenix, Arizona. If anyone knows of some, please post them!
Tintexas, your thai restaurant in del rio is on there!
I just submited Sublime, in Florida even though i haven't been yet... I got all the info for the listing from their detailed website (I want people to review it!) but i know what you mean about only submitting place you've been to! ;)
When I finally find a vegan german restaurant you're all gonna hear about it for weeks :)
Just posted two all vegan restaurants in the Boston area. I've eaten at both and YUM!!!! If you're in the area, check 'em out, they rock!
Grasshopper (all vegan Vietnamese: their sweet & sour "chicken" is TO DIE FOR - also they have an all you can eat, all vegan buffet for $10 every Sunday!)
TJ Scallywaggles Vegan House of Pizza & Subs - amazing and cheap! Their mission is also very cool! Check 'em out: www.scallywaggles.com
Next on my list to try in the Boston area: Greater Boston Buddhist Cultural Center restaurant. I've heard nothing but raves, anyone been there?
just posted 2 for AZ one in phx and one in scottdsdale. both yummy!
Done and done.

I live in Tempe, AZ--part of the East Valley of the Phoenix-metro area (sorry if you've been here already and know this). Some cities to look at on happycow.net are Glendale, Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Mesa--don't know about what's there, but all of those cities are in the metro area--It's just one huge city around here!
I know of two 100% vegan restaurants in the area. Green is awesome! It's in Tempe and has a good selection of stuff. Their vegan crab puffs are amazing, and I've heard their vegan soft serve is also very delicious (when we went there, we were too stuffed for dessert...next time, though ;) ). I had the Sweet and Sour bowl (which was good except for the apples--those were weird) and Josh had the "Chicken" "Parmesan" sandwich, which was very tasty. Another is the Mandala Tea Room. It's in Scottsdale and is OK. I think their lunch would be better (salads and sandwiches)--we went there for dinner and the entrees we had were not impressive. Their dessert is good, though, and they have an amazing tea selection (hence the name, I suppose). It's also really cute inside and the employees were very nice. They also have a nice shop/spa next door with (I think) veg-friendly shampoos, cosmetics, lotions, etc. Plaid is another in Tempe that is pretty good (though not 100%, they are totally willing to make something vegan for you), although I don't like their tofu very much (maybe their mock meats are better). Also, Three Roots coffee shop in Tempe has some really good vegan food--not all is vegan and there isn't a huge selection because it is a coffee shop, but the majority of their items are vegan (I love their tempeh BLTs and spicy tomato soup...yum!). I'll post these on vegweb, but I thought I'd respond to you specifically since you might be in the area soon.
Here's Green's website:

And Mandala Tea Room's website:

Have fun in the valley if you decide to come! And good luck if you are coming soon--it's freaking hot here!

I found out there is one in München, but I haven't been there. They used to have a website, but apparently they took it down. Here's a link to a review: http://www.toytowngermany.com/munich/zerwirk.html

Used to be a butcher's, now it's a vegan restaurant, club, literary salon, etc. It was originally built in 1264 as a bathhouse and is the second-oldest building in Munich as well as one of the oldest secular buildings in Bavaria. It's also been a Falcon house, a brewery, a game store (as in venison and wild boar), and most recently a theater.
Wow used to be a butcher's???????? and second-oldest building in Munich in impressive!!!!! so cool, thanks!
I kinda wish we had a place to post about where there are veg*n/organic shops as well. So often someone who lives away from the population hubs posts asking if anyone knows of one in say West Texas or wherever. We've only got the one here in Sevilla, too. Not that any of y'all lives here, but if you came on vacation you might want to know where to shop.
The restaurant listing mentions 'vegan shopping' as well... i'm sure you can list it there!
I added one for St. Louis MO, it took a couple weeks before it showed up though.
I kind of figured that out. Because I added two last week (for NY), and they haven't shown up yet.
I've posted grocery stores. I agree that it took a while for the listing to show.
jh - very cute family pic!
Just posted for Key West. ;)

Just found another veggie restaurant in the city (wow, now if I visit I know where to eat!). It's not vegan but vegetarian and labels their vegan dishes. Supposedly they have better service then Zerwirk. http://www.ignaz-cafe.de/
I just checked up on this... I imput two AZ restaurants back when this post was created back in May and neither are up yet. Maybe this feature of the website is broken? has anyone else's submitions actually shown up yet? Just wondering. I guess it's possible I did it wrong.
i will post for the santa cruz area, which is going to be fun, there are a crapload of vegan resturaunts here. i love my town
