Hey all!
I am planning a book promotion trip to Austin, Texas. Anyone have ideas on places or events during the first week of December? So far, the farmer's market has e-mailed me and gave me a really generous and kind offer to do a book signing and food demo-but it is like 1000 miles from where I live and I will need a little more to make a trip like that worth it.
Thanks in advance!!!

Wow, thanks! That picure was snapped with a cheap digital camera by my friend's husband. Go Joe! ;)b
Mdvegan, I thought the exact same! It's bigger on your website than in your profile, so I got a better look at what a FOX you are!
!!!!! i live near austin, I will TOTALLY come down and buy a book and get it signed and meet a fellow VWer. YAY! you should try and do a signing here

its a restaurant/yoga studio/community school/rental space. its awesome. and its the only all vegan restaurant in austin anymore.
you should also go to

its a super awesome, 3 story, independent book store across the street from the whole foods corporate headquarters. so you could go there and then go grab a bit to eat at whole foods
theres also a neat little health food store in mr. natural on cesar chavez

hopefully you can find something in those links!! DEFINITELY post where you'll be and when, as long as i dont have work, i'll be there.
I had another idea! Whole foods, on 6th and lamar, has a cooking school with one time workshops. I wonder if they would let you do a workshop using some of your favorite recipes out of your cookbook!! that would be so neat. the vegan/vegetarian population in austin is so big, but they rarely have vegan cooking classes, i'd love to see more.

Thanks! I will definitely check into those suggestions...it would be so great to meet you too!

Can you tell I'm blushing??!! I think you just made my day! :)>>>
I live about an hour from Austin! Woohoo! I could meet a fellow vegwebber.
Cool! It would be neat to meet real live vegwebbers...I never meet vegans of any kind, let alone the cool vegweb variety!! :)
