So many oatmeal cookie recipes to chose from here and in my cookbooks. Can you help me out?

The only vegan oatmeal cookie recipe that I remember making are the Craving-cure cookies. You can pretty much do whatever with them, and they are good.

I love the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies from The Joy of Vegan Baking - though, admittedly, I make quite a few changes. I think I listed all my changes on that ongoing thread, and AC kindly put them in the Official JoVB thread under that recipe... They're awesome (the way I make them). ;)
ETA: Yep! Found it: Delicious. I did a half recipe, but used the full amount of cinnamon & nutmeg. I also used canola oil instead of EB, and lessened the amount by using a few Tbsp. of unsweetened applesauce.

This one's not a traditional oatmeal cookie, but it's great--pretty much the only cookie I bother to make:
I use half brown sugar and half white sugar. Sometimes I'll do dried fruit instead of choc chips just to mix it up a little.

I like the Best Oat Cookies (or whatever it's called) from this site, but it's not like a traditional oatmeal cookie (has banana). And there was one that was from vegcooking... that involved cloves... this I think
Big Oatmeal-Raisin Cookies Courtesy of Lovin’ Spoonfuls
3/4 cup vegan margarine (try Earth Balance brand) 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup firmly packed fresh brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 cup soy milk 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 cup raisins 3 cups rolled oats • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. • In a large bowl, combine the margarine, sugars, and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Blend in the soy milk. • Mix in the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Fold in the walnuts and raisins. Stir in the oats. • Using a level 1/4 cup, scoop onto the prepared cookie sheet and flatten. • Bake for 15 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove from the cookie sheet with a spatula. Cool on a wire rack.
Makes 1 dozen
except without raisins or nuts for me ^ ^

I just realized that this is the exact same recipe as the one I posted above from recipezaar. I wonder which one is plagiarized... Anyway, I loooooooove them too!

I went with the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies in The Joy of Vegan Baking , following recommendations here as well as my many successes with this cookbook.
If you like a straight-up, traditional oatmeal raisin cookie this is your recipe. These cookies, made with rolled oats and oat bran, are sweetened with brown sugar and lightly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. I like a slightly crunchy oatmeal cookie so I left them in the oven a little longer than the 12-15 minutes. Perfect crunchy golden brown outside and cookie bottoms.
I also made half the recipe with chocolate chips(1/2 cup) and walnuts(1/4 cup) instead of raisins and they were delicious. I followed the recipe closely, using Earth Balance, no subs. The next time I bake these I would like to try JessaCita's suggestion halving the recipe with full nutmeg and cinnamon and applesauce substitutions. Without the modifications, though, this recipe does just fine on its own and is sure to please vegans and non-vegan cookie lovers out there.

I'm thinking of trying the VegWeb/RecipeZaar recipes you posted, which are almost exactly alike.
Are these flavorful and sweet, or are they a more a healthy tasting, oatmeal cookie?
Also, the recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of canola oil. Well they still taste delicious and come out good in texture if I sub the oil with applesauce?
I'm trying to win over some omnis and was wondering if this is the oatmeal cookie that will do the job. Thank you for your help.

they definitely dont taste like healthfood - im pretty sure ive subbed the oil for applesauce before - maybe even used shredded microwaved apple..
anyway, i just made them the other day and everyone loved them - and not one of the ppl who ate them were vegan. i think pecans are so good in them. the next day the cookies get soft and chewy after being all sealed up.

Thank you. These cookies are great! I subbed the oil with applesauce and used walnuts and Ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate chips. They are soft and sweet, peanut buttery, oaty, chewy with chocolate chips.
I was a little unsure at first because the dough was more wet than I am used to. I might add 1/4 cup flour next time. I did reduce the temperature to 400 per the suggestions in the recipe reviews.
Excellent recipe recommendation. Easy to bake. Familiar ingredients. This recipe is a winner.

Several people at work who ate them said I should bake them for the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale we're having next week. Thanks, again. I like it too because I can share it with folks who are not familiar with vegan baking. Simple recipe with easy-to-find ingredients.
Thank you Willwolf for your recommended recipes. I've been on this oatmeal baking kick in recent weeks, so I am looking into your recipes and others on this thread.

I also like the following oatmeal cookie recipes from Vegan with a Vengeance:
Big Gigantoid Crunchy Peanut Butter-Oatmeal Cookies (can also make normal-size cookies using 1-2 T dough per cookie, baking 8-10 min)
Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies
