Goodall was one of my first heroes... Such an intelligent & well-spoken advocate for animals & ethical human behavior! Def'ly gonna read her newest book, Hope for Animals and Their World: How Endangered Species Are Being Rescued from the Brink. I wanna be Jane, when I grow up!

I have similar feelings about Jane Goodall, she was a big influence on me as a kid.

Based on her book 'Harvest For Hope,' she advocates strongly for the rightness of a vegan or mostly-vegan diet; but she also feels like it isn't necessarily 'all-or-nothing,' that the big picture is the main thing-- that reducing the overall use/ abuse of animals is the goal, even if people can't or won't do it 100% of the time, in all circumstances... Not an absolute 'hard liner'-- she might flex while traveling, to avoid alienating people she's trying to influence... but anything she makes for herself or for other people is vegan, based on her books that I've read.

I think I read a book about her before, and she would pretty much eat a banana and cup of coffee for breakfast, then go hiking in the forest to find animals to study. Sounds pretty vegan to me.
