Spring Cleanse

Well, its that time of year again. You know, the time when the sun starts shining and I start thinking about all of the naughty food I've been gorging on all winter....mmmm....
Anyway, I decided to start a moderate spring cleanse. I've done various "detox" things before. This time I am keeping it simple and just planning to eliminate sugar and flour products for a couple of weeks and see how long I can keep it up. I will probably just live on Indian food since it is so awesome and fits the bill.
Also, I am so excited about the fresh produce season about to begin. I just bought RAWvolution and plan to incorporate as much raw-ness into my diet as I can.
I'd love to hear what you guys do to!
That's awesome! I've been doing more and more raw and I love it.
Sounds like a good plan!
I like cleansing with the seasons as well. I am going to do a macrobiotic diet for a while along with psillium husks and milk thistle for my liver. Lots of fresh (cooked) veggies and whole grains. I am in Maine and it is too cold for me to consider raw...I still need soft and warm foods. :)
I've always wanted to do a big cleanse--but I am just too lazy to do them--plus I hate being restricted in my food choices which sounds odd since I am vegan and already restrict my food--but you know what I mean--anyways, I eat a ton of ground flax on a regular basis and that seems to "clean out the plumbing" if you catch my drift. Between that and good old sweating out the toxins at the gym I think I have my bases covered :) Good luck to you!
For spring break, I wanted to fast--I was going to try that lemonade thing just to keep my taste buds interested. First I was going to eat raw for a few days, though...and during those few days all I wanted to do was alternately lie in bed and cram fruit into my mouth because I was so exhausted and hungry all the time. So instead, I'm eating more salads--at least one a day. I took a picture of the one I made today, it was so pretty :)
