isn't it wonderful to meet like minds?
ah, vegweb. a community of like-minded people. I can't say how much I appreciate this virtual space, but, unfortunately for me, it's only virtual.
BUT - I've mentioned this before - I got involved with the vegetarian club on campus and have met vegans! today we went to a farm sanctuary and helped out with chores. the owner of the sanctuary, who's vegan too, cooked us a wonderful lunch. I had such a great time!!! there's something so filling (even without being filled with yummy vegan foods that a caring, animal and earth lover made) to simply be around these people. I get them. they get me (I hope). we had fun cleaning up goat poop and petting chickens. I don't get this kind of comraderie anywhere else.
I just wanted to share. I feel so good about today (and, some may remember that I've been struggling with things - food, calories, etc - but I feel GREAT about eating the wonderful meal that the owner of the farm made. I ate it all and then some. and dessert.)
I just feel so good :) YAY! I can really see myself spending more time with these people - they are, like all of you on vegweb, real gems!
Laura, you are positively beaming & it's great to see you like this....well your words anyways ;) I am so glad that you have found people that you can really relate with. Kindred spirits

Me too. I'm jealous of and inspire to be like the kick butt vegwebbers who bring vegweb and it's members into their daily life and conversations.
Call it pride, call it ego... I'm working on it. I do refer people to this site all the time though.

Today Baypuppy and I are going to The Great Northeast Vegweb Potluck in Massachusetts to meet some of the other peeps, and we are very excited. I'm bringing my camera and will hopefully take a movie or two, and I will post a link to the movies on vegweb. It really is great to get in touch with other vegans.
P.S. Yeah, I talk a lot about vegweb with my friends too... the sad part being that finding other vegans isn't easy.
