What's your ecological footprint?

I just calculated mine and if everyone lived like me, we'd need 3.3 earths!! That freaks me out! I'm seriously never buying anything new again. And I'm gonna save as much energy as i possibly can.
I thought I was an eco-nazi, but jeez, there's so much more I can do! And if mine was 3.3 planets, I can't even begin to imagine what the rest of my family's is. aghhh
So I ask, what's yours?
3.3 earths. :( I'm kind of ashamed of myself.
Luckily it'll get better when I move for good to Baltimore instead of having to drive all my crap out there every couple of months.
I tried doing this but it was extremely impractical for me.
I got 1.94, but i don't know that that's right....I had to guess on the area that our house/land/whatever occupied. I also had to put sometimes for buying clothes made of hemp/recycled products/etc, just because it's so so rare that I buy new clothes at all. In the last 3 years the only new clothes I have bought are a coat, a pair of trousers, a fleece and some bras. Everything else in the past 3 years were second hand.
1.19 earths, but i think it's bs...
quizzes like this are EXTREMELY favorable to the "green" community, not those of us who literally live with NOTHING. the only new item of clothing i can think of that i have bought any time recently is shoes, i have never ever in my life bought new furniture (and don't think i ever will), i barely use ANY cleaning products, and then few i do are definitely bio. i eat almost entirely fruit, almost entirely local (save bananas, which i have been gagging down lately), they assume certain numbers depending on where you live (US is highest), only use water to shower and do dishes (haha... SOMETIMES i wash my hands).. both of which are rare. oh and with the sq. foot of housing, mine is like 135ft for two people. anyway....
1.45 and it would be lower only there are so many ecofriendly choices that simply aren't available here. I myself hassled the life out of the city before we got paper/glass/plastic recycling bins in our area, and it took 3 years. But composting? Surely you jest. Unless it counts when the garbage rots in the dumpster because they simply haven't picked it up...
3.91 earths :'(, not sure what else I could do to lower it.
^To lower it, all you have to do is take a differen't test from another website. Problem solved, you're green now!^
Just like I said, it was totally impractical. Sounds like it was made for Sophie Uliano!
actually, this test is the lowest one i have gotten since it goes into so much detail, the other ones assume a lot more than this one does.
but you guys need to keep in mind these site stay in business selling you carbon offsets and advertising green products.
Yeah. Remember anyone can post just about anything on the Internet. That doesn't make it true, practical, or even realistic. You don't believe me? Read the Onion. :-D
(And I'm always amazed at the number of people who take the Onion seriously!)

YES! I love The Onion and I subscribe to them on Facebook and there's always some idiot who starts a fight in the comments. I'm also part of the Bill Nye facebook page and someone on there posted in the Discussions section that Bill Nye was dead and left a link to an article by The Onion. This girl was serious too, it was hilarious. The man has his own TV show and is on new channels ALL of the time.....and she falls for an Onion article. After everyone said something to her she took it down and left. :-D
I LOVE THE ONION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes me smile so much.
hmmm i just the test that ac posted and i got 2.67 earths
3.33
Considering I've spent the past two years hopping back and forth across the Atlantic... Could definitely be worse.
1.25 earths. I think I messed up on transportation miles. I probably flew twice as many miles as I put in. But some of the questions are silly if they don't apply. Like, making an effort to not use power tools for landscaping? I can't say yes or no to that.

Yeah, same here. Not a lot of landscaping involved in the terrazo floors of my 63 square meter living space.
1.78 for me, even including my flights from the UK to Canada. I think what makes my score so low is the fact that I can do a lot of university work from home and my travel into classes or meetings is about a mile and a half by bus. Plus we live in a new block of flats with tons of built-in energy saving features like low flush toilets. That said, I feel like it's kind of cheating for such a low score because I know I could have done way better on the habits and choices I make.
That website says 2.22 for me, but it doesn't take a lot of factors into account...
...like the fact that We very rarely use a toilet (the ones at the house are low-flow), but instead use Our latrine (the outhouse We built into one of the stables in the barn)...
...We never wash the car... or use power tools for landscaping...
...Our garden is maybe only 20 square feet, but a lot of the food We eat comes from his parents' garden, from his grandparents' garden, or from wild berry patches all over the land out here...
...Our water comes from a well on the property...
...The materials used to build the barn haven't been certified as "sustainably harvested" because it was built 80 frickin' years ago...
Basically, I think James and I are living a pretty earth-friendly lifestyle. It would be made better if We didn't have to drive to the nearest town to get most of Our groceries, medicine, and other essentials.
Ooh boy... I got 3.76. Not good :(
i got 3.04 :-\ that sucks...
