vegetarian pledge = planting a fruit tree

I was just wondering if anyone knew... On the PETA site, there is a plege to be veg for 30 days.

I know (from an other site related to this pledge) that there are alot of of people who are already veg*ns that have signed up, just so an extra tree can be planted. I just thought It's a good thing, so why not? Just hope they really do plant all those trees... ? Has anyone else put their names in?

People around here literally eat meat for every meal.
I don't think it would be hard at all... but people are lazy and conformist.
will it not do if people like me who have access to hardly 150 sq ft. space to plant fruit bearing plants?
(Best I can do as I do always to plant hot pepper plants...Naga and Aji (if I can lay my hands on the seeds)

NJA, I may be misunderstanding your post, but it seems to me that they want you to pledge, and they will plant a tree in an impoverished village. They don't want you to raise a tree for them.
Let me at it. I can do veg for a month.
Yea, jeez I dunno....giving up my meat is a big ask...oh alright then :P
