Nice article.  Thanks for sharing!  I was one of those who went from omni to vegan after reading The China Study, too.  :)

i always use 'the vegan triangle' (never called it that before...), i also put more emphasis on whatever it is i know whoever i am talking to about veganism cares about. if i know someone is into 'green' things i talk about the environmental/sustainable aspect. if i know someone is an animal lover, i try to expose them to factory farming practices. if i know someone cares a lot about their health (i encounter a lot of these people, i am a nutrition major) i talk to them about health benefits first and foremost. i often tell people that out of the vast reasons people give for being vegan i have never found one of them i disagree with.

"Anything that's 'good for you' in an egg can be found in plants with none of the side effects such as, 'Whoops, my heart stopped.'"

LMAO  ;D ;D ;D ;D ::)

Wow.... that is an awesome article!  I am sending it to my parents as I write this... well, perhaps a bit after I finish typing.  :D

Thanks for the kind words, everybody. So nice to find a place on the net where I'm not to be badgered with, "Last I checked, plants are alive too!"

Last I checked... well, my mother (omni) enjoyed the article too and sent it on to my father.  Now when a family member badgers me, I won't have to say a word.  I'll just point to the computer, or maybe I'll just print out a copy and carry it in my back pocket...

How 'bout a Vegan Triangle t-shirt?  No, hoodie!!  Hoodies are better.

T-shirts and hoodies would be great! Except that I'm a terrible Photoshopper, and I wouldn't know a vector image if one slapped me in the face, so I'd need some help. (I've been trying to get someone to re-do those awful triangle graphics on my essay for me...).

Volunteers?  ;)

I made a PDF version available on the blog post for just such a situation. http://www.higherpie.com/VeganTriangle.pdf

Enjoy!

Tell me 'bout it.  I'm wearing one right now.  Doubtless it would be more impressive if it were graced with the Vegan Triangle.

yeah, i am thinking about emblazoning most of my clothing with vegan propaganda. i am not sure how yet... maybe i'll just draw it all over. my hoodies will not be excluded.

p.s. the reason hoodies are so amazing, imo, is the hood (well, duh). i hate when people never use their hoods. it is a perfect little hiding device, and it keeps you warm, to boot.
