Hmmm. I think we all have subtly different motivations for being here and a part of this community. When an issue moves one to speak thoughtfully, one does - IF, as so often happens because of time differences, great minds who think alike have NOT already posted almost exactly what one wanted to say. :( It so happens that a lot of my posts are short, and lighthearted. Partly because I don't feel that I'm very good at expressing my thoughts (this improved with experience of course). Partly because I consider VW (a) a place to read and learn and share when I have something to add, and (b) a place to be with my friends. Yes, that's you. ;) And one hardly ever has deep, meaningful discussions every time one talks with one's friends! ::) Except for heart-to-hearts... which - as we get to know each other better - can easily and often be expressed in a few words or smilies.
So there. :P :-*

Actually, I refrain quite a bit from posting.......I'll either think of something, and decide it's not worth posting...or, I'll start typing, and THEN decide..meh...not good/not worth it.

I DO think it's funny that a :D counts the same as a long post for purposes of the 1,000 posts club.
However, I don't think there is a molecule in my body that cares.
I was typing on my bberry while waiting for my kids to fall asleep last night (the nightly ritual where they torture me and hold me captive). It was dark so maybe the hidden humor didn't come shining through. I deeply regret that it prompted so much soul-searching!
